I mean, if Da Vinci Code was bad (and it was), this is like 100 times worse. The novel is absolutely atrocious, and just gets worse as it goes a long to the point of absurdity that comes across as impossibly ridiculous even in novel form, so I can only IMAGINE how bad it will look if actually visually realized. Those who have read the book know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Then again, I love Ayelet Zurer and she's one of ours and it's great to see her succeeding in Hollywood after one of the most artistically prosperous acting careers in Israel, so I guess I'll have to see this after all | | Static Link |

I don't have a link or anything and I don't know if this is true, but I've heard rumors that Stellen Skarsgaard is up for a role in this movie. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: yorrick brown at April 24, 2008, 4:18 am | | Topic: angels & demons Forum: JoBlo | | Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer, last seen in “Vantage Point”(also she was eric banas wife in munich), has been cast as the female lead in “Angels & Demons”, Tom Hanks and Ron Howard’s follow-up to “The Da Vinci Code”. Naomi Watts had originally been rumoured for the role of Vittoria Vetra, but Zurer gave better head…. Or, ahem, audition. Zurer's character is the daughter of CERN physicist Leonardo Vetra. Following her father's death, Vittoria pairs with Robert Langdon (Hanks) on a journey to uncover the mystery behind her father's murder and stop a terrorist plot. Sony has yet to cast the roles of Maximilian Kohler (director of CERN) and Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca (aide to the Pope). | | Static Link |

They're all BIG scenarios with BIG action gimmicky twists and suchlike. Not saying this is a bad thing it's just not the type of books i like. The movie could be quite good if it doesn't take itself too seriously, with Ron Howard directing i don't think this'll happen though. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: ilovemovies at April 15, 2008, 5:12 am | | Topic: angels & demons Forum: JoBlo | | My only concern with this movie is that as much as I love Tom Hanks, I thought he was miscast and shockingly boring in The Da Vinci Code. Is he really going to be any better here? But I still want to see for the Howard/Hanks/Watts teaming. Even if I did hate The Da Vinci Code. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: pablo_super1! at April 14, 2008, 8:13 pm | | Topic: angels & demons Forum: JoBlo | | yea same with me, I really liked Angels and Demons and wish it would've been made first instead of being a prequel because of the studio trying to cash in on The Big Davinci Code Fiasco. the Movie was alright but it should've come after. I highly reccomend the book which is much better than The Davinci Code. | | Static Link |
