Well, they had to do something with the character after he came crawling back. LOL. It didn't bother me too much, because that wedding/C-ya D episode was so fucking great even as a stand alone episode. It was just some flat-out great storytelling and filming. They even managed to fit a Lyle Lovitt song into that universe.

Yeah but the show fucking ruined it later when we find out that Dylan's father isn't dead but in actuality it was staged by the FBI and he was put in the witness protection. Hence why I had the word kill in paranthesis. They ruined one of the best storylines with one of the cheesiest, most asinine twists in television and movie history. Ugh. I can't even begin to tell you how much I detested that episode and twist.

He not only killed Dylan's father, but his wife in one of the best plot twists in soap history. That guy ruled on Monk too, just because his cool was such a great contrast against Monk - He was one of those actors who's contributions were greater than his name recognition.

Oh shit! I remember him from 90210. He's the one that actually had Dylan's father "killed". I loved those episodes. Very sad. RIP

He had a very distinctive face and I remember him from various films and shows as well...had no idea the guy was 65; he looked about 10 years younger on the show. SHIVER ME TIMBERS... THIS YEAR JUST CAN'T STOP SUCKING.
