Sure it's not as complex as LOTR but it just has a really fun, light tone to it that's really appealing. Really hope this is true. | | Static Link |

It's about on par with a Harry Potter book in complexity... except it's more original. Appropriate since unlike LOTR it was written more for young readers, much like Harry Potter. Maybe the first two Harry Potter books. The rest blow the Hobbit out of the water. | | Static Link |

I think The Hobbit is just as good... it's just written for a different audience. It's written for younger readers, wheras LOTR is written for adults. It's like comparing The Dark Tower to Harry Potter. | | Static Link |

If the Hobbit doesn't turn out to be as awesome (or close to the same level) as the LOTR's then... Well, it is a good bet that Jackson's new weight loss program was actually booger sugar this whole time. | | Static Link |

It had many silly parts in it, and was a kids story for the most part. Like that part where The Woodland Elvs could vanish into thin air when they were disturbed at a picnic....yawn.. There were some good parts too. The battle of 5 armies was cool, and I'd like to see what the Arkenstone looks like in the film. | | Static Link |
