I realy liked the part where they changed into cars and stuff. Does anyone know all the lyrics to the song: "Transformers... more than meets the eyes. Transformers... robots into guys..." or something like that.

I saw this again on the IMAX this past weekend. A second viewing was definitely better. Because I knew of the parts that annoyed me (the hiding in the yard, the black hackers, etc), I found I could tolerate them a lot more than the first viewing. Plus, wanna talk about giant freakin' robots? Damn that's a big screen.

Very fun movie. nothing life changeing, but fun. I DID like when Optimus Prime shivved the Dumptruck Decepticon (whatever his name was Blackout? Bonecrusher?) I had no idea Optimus had a big freaking sword in his arm, why didn't he use it on Megatron? I'm sure we will see many sequels.

Finally saw this. I liked it but I have mixed feelings about some of it. I liked it overall but there were a few things that pissed me off and stopped me from absolutely loving it. Hopefully things that can be resolved for Transformers 2. First, the negatives. - A lot of the "comedy" fell flat, especially the whole "hiding in the yard" scene, it was just too goofy and preposterous. John Turturro was great but the stupid Secotr Seven wife-beater was just a move too far, he reminded me a little of Jeffrey Combs in The Frighteners. And the black hacker dudes just made me think of the "pilots" from Snakes on a Plane. - Frenzy and Barricade's spastic way of talking. OK so Frenzy was obviously supposed to be some annoying psychotic ritalin-ADHD gremlin-robot but was there any need for Barricade to be the same when he confronted Sam? Especially after being so menacing in his introduction. I also didn't like that Frenzy whether he was a cellphone or a stereo could transform in to EXACTLY the same cybertronian robot,...

Josh buddy I want what you're smoking. That movie was just bad it was actively evil. If Bourne Represents everything I like about Mainstream Hollywood Transformers is everything I hate. Stupid without a single original thought. Jeebus the action wasn't even great. I would rather watch a double feature of Ghost Rider and Roland Emmerich's Godzilla then suffer that piece of shit again.

Wow, this was really good. I got geeked out all over. The scene in the backyard could've been cut by like 5 minutes, but I cracked up like crazy hearing Optimus go "my bad". it was so suprising hearing Prime actually be funny. And good God, Meghan Fox is hot. by the way, that like 2 second scene of poking fun of Bush was a tad unneccesary. I admit, I'm not a lover of him, but still it was like Bay felt compulsed to dig on him. From the trailers, I actually thought Voight was going to be the President. Anyway, bring on the sequel

Thats the thing with RT, they always put the big famous sites critics in ahead of others and that ruins the ratings for films its kinda annoying.. a lot of them are moaning that Transformers isnt even fun!?

It actually had a REALLY high rating on RT intially. A couple of days after it was released, all the critics who didn't really want to see it anyway were forced to go see it and review it because it was making so much money... and predictably they hated it.

because it's a campy action movie. Some critics can have a good time at the movies. Some can't because it's uncomfortable sitting down with a head up your ass.

This happens even moreso in music. Artists are litterally giving away their music now and instead taking on sponsors or maybe raising tour prices (not a big deal when you think about it). for example Johnette Napolitano (one of my faves) lets you hear the album on her site before you buy it. I for one am looking forward to this growing trend in movies and music.

A glorious mess of an experience. The whole thing is preposterous but the thrill of seeing those huge cybernetic organisms bashing each other around, especially in the city is a blast. This will be the reference soundtrack experience for HT for sure. Beyond that, its a Michael Bay film - enough said. First one I have enjoyed since The Rock.

I just seen Transformers for a second helping tonight and I loved it even more. I noticed some more minor flaws in the film; but for some strange reason that still didn't matter to me. In fact, it felt like I had been transformed into an actual Autobot by the end of the movie. I mean, I had rolled out of my local human theater in a complete robotic euphoria. Now, I am so pumped about gargantuan morphing sentient machines...that I think I might name my first born Optimus and buy a semi and paint it exactly like the one used in the film. Okay. Maybe not, but after realizing how utterly orgasmic Transformers had effected me this time around... I now feel like there is nothing else to see on the big screen any time soon. I mean...how can you top big hot robots fighting to protect mankind? Which raises another question.... Will Transformers be like Spider-Man and inspire a bunch of other films centered around a similar theme??? If so, what robot or mech like films do you think Hollywood would possibly do??? Do yo...

Sorry, when I said "leave Optimus for dead" I was thinking of them redoing that whole story. Rather than him really being dead he'd just be deactivated or frozen...or whatever. Rodimus would only be in it for the opening act, and then Optimus would return. I'd like to think Hasbro doesn't want to emotionally scar me twice in my life. Regarding Megatron's lines, I thought they were fine. A little too Hugo Weaving in their delivery for me, but the lines were OK. I just don't know about Starscream as the Decepticon leader. He just works as a character as second in command. His "I'm better than everyone else" attitude works better when Megatron is their to dismiss him, or smack him around a bit. I think the more likely choice is Shockwave. Unless they were going to bring in Galvatron... Faf - Well technically we did have 1 Constructicon (2 with Devastator) in the film. Bonecrusher was originally the bulldozer Constructicon. I think the movie got rid of the idea of subgroups. They're either Autobot or Decepticon....

http://www.dkemb.org/uploaded_images...me!-715756.jpg Rating: A- Am I biased? Heck yeah, bub! …And proud of it. What I liked:
1. The giant freaking robots that transform!!!(Duh?)
2. Optimus’s first appearance (It gave me chills) (Literally)
3. The mystical bond between Sam and Bumblebee. (Totally hot)
4. Bumblee relieving himself on a human. (Cause everyone loves that).
5. Police Car Decepticon (Sorry. Too lazy to look up his name right now).
6. Megan Fox all sweaty and dirty!!! (Meow)
7. The historical flashback. (Maybe it’s the LOST fan in me)
8. Sector Seven. (Cause every good movie should have a secret agency in it)
9. Explosions! (And lots of them)
10. The comedy. (Totally unexpected)
11. The action. (It blew me away just like the explosions)
12. The deleted scenes in my mind betwe...

Sorry to dissent, but I hated it. Really not a surprise from me though. I'm not big on suspending reality for any film, let alone one with horrid one liners like, "You're a soldier now." Also was confused as to why his friend (the one who was in Lords Of Dogtown) didn't get mentioned after the 1/3 mark of the film, and why they even gave Josh Dushanel a hurried backstory. Most of the characters had little to no development, and John Tutorro seemed out of place and distracting.

Starscream is an opportunist though and with Megatron out of the way it makes sense for him to take over... meanwhile all the other Decepticons will hate him and work behind the scenes to bring back Megatron to kick his ass. Definitely do NOT want Hot Rod. If Hot Rod appears, that means they're going to kill Optimus again and I think we all know how well that went the first times. Ugh. No stinking Rodimus Prime. Dissapointed Jazz is dead, would liked to have seen more of him in a sequel. I wonder if for the Autobots they'll go the route the show went, of uncovering some dormant, ancient Autobots hidden on Earth, the way Megatron was?

I wish I'd seen it with your audience Josh. Ours was mute for most of the film. They laughed when they were supposed to, but overall they were quiet.
