Hot Fuzz, much like Shaun of the Dead is a decent but overrated film. The gore is cool and there's some solid laughs but the movie is nowhere near as funny or cool as people have been saying. A decent timewaster at best. 6/10

Maybe a bit long but in general a very funny movie with an amazing climax. Nicholas Angel: "I may not be a religious man Reverend, but I know right and I know wrong and I have the good grace to know which is which." Reverend Philip Shooter: "Oh, fuck off, grasshopper." 8/10

Oh I got the point of the movie, that didnt stop it from sucking in my eyes. And, if the point of the movie was to be sloppy paced, unfunny, and directed badly, then the movie proved its point very well.

This movies action is guilty of the quick cutting shaky cam syndrome like all the other movies of today. Dude, I do not think you quite understand the point of the movie.

For me, there weren't enough laughs to go with the long running time but aside from that it was hilarious and a hell of a lot of fun. 9/10

I got to see the movie at a free screening with the two stars and director present for a Q&A after the movie. I laughed my ass off during the entire movie, and afterwards as well. The atmosphere might have led me to enjoy the movie moreso than what it is, but after watching the flick again on DVD, I still laughed a lot, but not as much. I still like how it parodies cop and action movies and all the characters are fun as hell. 8/10

My favorite comedy of the year no doubt. Edgar Wright showed me can put more than one solid film and will definitely look forward to future releases by him, especially since the TV show Spaced is hilarious. Great film, when from a hilarious action-spoof, with gore, and then ended up as a hilarious version of The Wicker Man. 9/10

Hot Fuzz Cooks: Simon Pegg stars as a big city cop in London that has an outstanding track record of catching criminals. He's so good that he makes the rest of the force look bad, so they send him to a small town where everything is not as it seems, and he starts to notice that there are lots dead bodies from accidents and almost no crime reports at all! The suspicious cop is determined to get to the bottom of this and starts to look closer at all the town folks and their ties to the dead people. However, the only one interested in hearing his suspicions is his dumb sidekick Danny Butterman (Nick Frost). That however doesn't stop him from questioning everybody and their motives. Soon he discovers that he might have bitten off more than he can chew in this funny spoof of the action movie genre. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are widely known for their zombie spoof Shaun of the Dead that was released back in 2004.
