I like this anime, it's all about food, food, food and food. They explained the recipe more thoroughly but how they make it, it's just too exaggerated... well anyway that's just me!!...

But they already did, it was exaggeration after you ate the certain foods and you were floating and there were angels flying next to you.

Hmmm.. thanks for the info, it was a long time ago since I saw this anime. Anyway my favorite character
here is Lan Fei Hong - his mentor is Mao's mother.
I remember the time when Mao, Fei and the witch look like had a cook battle and that witch made Mao lost his
sense of taste, Fei helped Mao and he put the rock of
salt in Mao's mouth and guess what happened? That part was funny hahaha

Not exactly cooking to kill people. What they do is the same as cheating. They use ingredients that enhance a dish's flavor but they're not allowed to be used in competitions and such.

Yeah, they were underworld cooking guys right? Does it mean that they are cooking to poison someone? But they cook fine just like Mao's cooking though they were exotic.

I remember the emblem in their knife. But I guess all of them had different emblem. Like mao his emblem is dragon, while on the other is phoenix. Or was it just the background when they are tasting the foods or in the process of the match?

Yakitate is more on bread while Cooking Master Boy
is cooking any cuisine. That is why my vote goes to CMB, it rock Yakitate is fun to watch
yes but they made it too exaggerated. Though it really made me laugh remembering those looks in their
faces hahaha
