I saw the trailer with king of kong Dvd. And this movie looks great. I thought the best when they were doing ghostbusters. It has danny Glover in it which i was surpised about. So I hope this movie is good.

Michel Gondry is just an absolute fucking genius. Love him, love Jack Black, love Mos Def, this movie looks wacky, insane, creative, imaginative and brilliant, and I can't wait to see it. I can only hope it will do well so Gondry can get even more say with the Studios but I fear that its graveyard release date will hamper it. Then again, it could work to its advantage for being the only good movie within 100 miles of every American.

Saw the trailer and it looks pretty pointless. Plus Jack Black is starting to be very UNfunny... Still hoping for good things, but i'll easily wait it out for the DVD release.

LOL People on imdb.com's boards are comparing it to a recurring sketch on The Amanda Show.

The only thing I can think of to ask is – it's got such a great concept, I'm worried about them ignoring the deeper story. Perhaps hanging a lame RomCom formula on it. So basically, is it as smart as it is clever? Or just a one-trick pony. I mean, I've got a lot of faith in this film, but there are reservations, too.

I was able to see the world premiere last Sunday at the Sundance Film Festival. If anyone has any questions about the film I can gladly answer them.

Oh MAN I can't wait for this. I was searching around, looking for stuff about this film today, and I stumbled across an incredibly recent interview that I guess Gondry and Jack Black took part in at Sundance. http://www.iklipz.com/MovieDetail.as...c-40621140eefe Note: Run Time of about 20 minutes. Jack Black is hilarious in this interview. But both of them seem like really cool people. And they're so conversive in it. Completely unlike the usual repetitive press junket crap. Also, for some reason, at the end, it cuts to them chilling on a couch and Mos Def is there too. Weird, but cool.

it looks pretty funny but i dont think it will be quite the film that Eternal Sunshine was -- but it is still on my list of anticipated movies of the year

Thanks for resurrecting the thread...this def needed to be brought to our attention. The movie looks AMAZING...if it's half as funny and imaginative as it looks, I will be mightily pleased. Mos Def is the man. And Gondry...ohhh weeeee boy howdy

This looks great. Along with Darjeeling Limited, this is one of the films I can't wait to come out. Jack Black and Mos Def should ensure that the comedy is as important as Gondry's flights of fancy, which I have nothing against, I just thought Science of Sleep wandered a bit too much. Plus anything that pays such affectionate homage to Ghostbusters must be pretty good!

I don't wanna go ga-ga right now, even though all the right elements are there. I'm afraid I think the whole idea of them seriously thinking they can reshoot some o the movies themselves is too farfetched for me... I hope he can explain it well... for the first few because it makes sense that the community is really digging it. Also, I was really dissapointed with The Science of Sleep, it had some great moments.. but the screenplay was really lacking... also I just saw Human Nature... and Gondry's directing is all over the place... His only truly great film is Eternal Sunshine... but this does lok funny and charming... so i'll be there. I hope he can convince me of his greatness.

This movie certainly looks interesting. I really liked Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, but I didn't really like science of sleep though. I thought the ad looked good, but I got halfway through and it just wasn't clicking with me. So hopefully this one is as amusing as it seems in the trailer.

As far as best comedy of the year.. it's going to be tuff to beat SuperBad (if it lives up to its hype) and/or Knocked Up.. But I've been wanting to see this since I first read the plot about 6 months ago... Sounds amazing.. It once also had Kristen Dunst Cast.. but I guess it didn't pan out.

I read the plot for this a while ago and I thought it sounded awesome. And, now it looks incredible. I didn't know Gondry was directing this. Mos Def is underrated as fuck as an actor, and it looks like Jack Black's funniest role in a long time.
