I really didn't think it was the same high quality as the first two seasons, but it definitely had some high points. Notably the "SOB" episode. Either way, it never jumped the shark or deserved to get canceled. | | Static Link |

I hope they get a separate company behind it like Universal instead of Fox, though. "An Illusion, Michael. Tobias Fünke: No, no, it's pronounced a-nal-ra-pist. Buster: It wasn't really the pronunciation that bothered me. | | Static Link |

Arrested Development remains to be the greatest comedic television show ever, in my opinion. The movie better incorporate some chicken dances, as well as Lucille's infamous wink. There was a questions/comments number on the Arrested Development Season DvD's. So I called and said: I have a question, Is this news about the movie the best news I've ever heard? I've also got a a comment. Yes it is | | Static Link |
| Posted by: CosmicPuppet at February 2, 2008, 6:18 pm | | Topic: Arrested Development Forum: JoBlo | | I can't wait to see this. This is going to be one great film. I loved the series. Damn shame it's no longer around. I'll vouch for Evilhenchman in that the first 2 seasons were written better than the third, but I still dig the third season more than most shows regardless. I loved Bob Einstein's bit as George Senior's eyes and ears and mouthpiece at the family meetings. That was fucking genius. Some great dialogue. The multiple Saddam's episode was also great. I wish there were more episodes of Season 3. I heard that the Fox exec's were treating the show like an unwanted child and the cast and crew weren't even sure if they were going to be able to finish the 3rd season. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: axe vs head at February 2, 2008, 4:51 am | | Topic: Arrested Development Forum: JoBlo | | Arrested Development Movie in Development! Source: E! Online February 2, 2008 Kristen at E! Online was told by Jason Bateman that "the creative minds behind 'Arrested Development' (Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard) have put the wheels in motion toward a major motion picture of the Fox TV comedy so many of us adore. I'm told by insiders that Jason and other Bluth family members have received calls from producers (Hurwitz and Howard) asking if they would be willing to shoot a movie." "I can confirm that a round of sniffing has started," Bateman said. "Any talk is targeting a poststrike situation, of course. I think, as always, that it's a question of whether the people with the money are willing to give our leader, Mitch Hurwitz, what he deserves for his participation. And I can speak for the cast when I say our fingers are crossed." She adds that other cast members were called and that everyone seems to be very much on board and excited by the prospect. | | Static Link |
