Now that Harry Potter is no longer on the November release date list; the movie "Twilight" has been moved to November 21st to capitalize on the Thanksgiving long holiday and it's real popular with the teenagers, especially teenage girls. I think Sony made a mistake now by delaying the U.S. release of QoS by a week!! Now there is only 1 week separating the release of QoS and Twilight!!

I kind of wish it was only Jack White doing it. I'm a big White Stripes fan. Find it strange that he's playing drums on the track as he's one of the best guitarists around. Hope it's not a slow and sappy song. You Know My Name was great and easily top 3 of all the Bond themes.

Source: DeadlineHollywoodDaily Quote: 007 DUET: Alicia Keys & Jack White (Of The White Stripes) Record Theme Song Their first choice was Amy Winehouse. But she was too busy doing drugs. Instead, the theme song for the latest James Bond movie Quantum Of Solace will be the first duet in 007 history of 22 films. Sony/MGM announced today that artists Jack White of the rock band The White Stripes, and Alicia Keys, have recorded "Another Way To Die", the movie's theme song which was written and produced by White (who is also featured as the drummer on this track). The soundtrack to Quantum of Solace will be released by J Records on October 28th.

http://carsplusmovies.com/2008/04/26...ond-car-crash/ Maybe it’s Murphy’s law, maybe it’s the road around Lake Garda, but just days after a stunt man and his DBS ended up in the aforementioned lake (see our article), two of his colleagues crashed an Alfa Romeo 159 into a production truck. The passenger made it fine, but the driver is said to be in critical condition. Let’s hope for the best for him. A human life is worth more than a car, whatever the make is (that’s our reaction to some inconsiderate reactions we saw on some websites). “the accident happened when the car used by two stuntmen rammed into a filming lorry and then into a wall on set near the picturesque Lake Garda in northern Italy…” “…one of the two men, a Greek national, ended up in intensive care in a hospital in the nearby town of Verona.” The filming as been stopped while the scene is under investigation. The driver was experienced, but the road is windy and dangerous for th...

I remember there were similar rumors of Connery playing the villain floating around for "Goldeneye", although at the time, not only was Connery going to be the villain, but he would also be Bond's long-lost father. In the end, the villain was one of Bond's former "co-workers" instead of his family.

http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/Enterta...ain_role/9290/ Connery eyes 007 villain role LONDON, March 28 (UPI) -- Scottish actor Sean Connery told a British newspaper he would like to play a villain in an upcoming James Bond picture. Connery, 77, played the iconic superagent in the movies "Dr. No," "From Russia With Love," "Goldfinger," "Thunderball," "You Only Live Twice," "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Never Say Never Again," but retired from film acting in 2006. "I wouldn't mind coming back as a Bond villain," he told The Daily Telegraph. "But I don't think they would pay me enough money." Connery said he thought Daniel Craig, the "Casino Royale" star who will play Bond in the next several 007 films, "is a terrific choice." "I think they're going back to a more realistic type of Bond movie as I don't think they could have gone much further with the special effects," Connery said. "They don...

http://www.themovieblog.com/ Quantum of Solace Title Explained The upcoming James Bond prequel sequel title was released and the title still has people wondering what it means. Quantum of Solace?? What is that? I have an idea, lets see what the writer of the screenplay has to say. MTVMovies quotes: You’re probably still wondering what the title of the next James Bond movie, “Quantum of Solace,” actually means. Star Daniel Craig insisted that the oddly-phrased moniker “ties into the plot,” but don’t tell that to the Oscar-winning writer of the script…because he’s just as confused as the rest of us. “I have no idea,” Paul Haggis admitted when I asked him for the meaning on the Oscar red carpet Sunday. “It’s not my title.” So Craig says it has something to do with the plot. A tie in. It will all make sense kinda like when we all couldnt figure out what “The Phantom Menace” meant and finally got it after the movie came out....

So, looks like EON has decided to use up all the official titles from now on, which probably means we'll be expecting (at least the next 3) films to be called "Risico" (even though they used it as working title for this one, according to IMDB), "The Hildebrand Rarity" and "The Property of a Lady"? (Not a bad idea, IMO, mind you.) I doubt "007 in New York" has the oomph for a big-budget blockbuster Bond movie title - low-brow average joes/fanboys would no doubt framegrill it for sounding 'dumb'.

The 2 new Bond Girls Gemma Arterton (red hair) and Olga Kurylenko (short black hair - she was seen recently in "Hitman") with Daniel Craig at the official announcement of the Bond 22 Film Title on January 22nd, 2008: Plot Details and explanation of the Title: It centres around a dinner party conversation in the Bahamas between Bond and the Colonial Governor. Bond is told of a young Diplomatic Service man who marries a flight attendant. When she becomes disillusioned with her life she begins a blatant affair which ruins her husband. He retaliates by ruthlessly crushing her spirit over the course of a year, leaving her financially and emotionally ruined. The crux is the emotional phenomenon the Governor calls the Quantum of Solace, the smallest unit of human compassion that two people can have. As long as that compassion exists, people can survive, but when it is gone, when your partner no longer cares about your essential humanity, the relationship is over. Bond becomes depressed by the story as he ...

ComingSoon got the chance to speak to Daniel Craig about the status of the upcoming "Casino Royale" sequel. According to Craig, the new film will pick up right after "Royale" ends. "That's the plan," he said. Earlier, it was rumored that Craig wanted more humor in the James Bond films, stating: "They [the producers] just want more gags. The next one's going to be a lot funnier. Octopussy and Pussy Galore style gags. They're all great names – but that's the thing, the Bond jokes will be flipped on their heads." Now, Craig says that gag-style jokes are not his preference. "I don't remember saying that, but if I did, I'm not going to shy away from the fact that occasionally there should be humor," Craig explained. "I just don't like gags. I don't like written gags. That's not the way I've ever liked working and I don't think that's funny myself." As far as the writers strike affecting production, he said not to worry. "We'd basically have to...

Mathieu Amalric (IMDB) will play a villain in "Bond 22". Quote: James Bond's Next Villain Revealed Daniel Craig had better look out. I’m told that Mathieu Amalric, the probable Oscar nominee from Miramax’s “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly,” is James Bond’s next villain. That was the word Thursday at a lunch for “Diving Bell" director Julian Schnabel and Amalric. Even though sources insist it’s true, Amalric would neither confirm nor deny. Since his “Diving Bell” character communicates through blinking, we thought of asking him to do just that — one for yes, two for no — but thought better of it. Anyway, expect a formal announcement shortly. This is a done deal. For the untitled Bond movie’s director Marc Forster, Amalric is a brilliant choice. He’s a youthful looking 42-year-old overnight sensation, an independent French film director who only started seriously acting in films at age 30 and has suddenly been thrus...

Better... closer... super! Watch out! Spoilers possible! Quote: The 'Risico' rumour, Vesper's Algerian boyfriend, shooting timetable, Q and Moneypenny... With Casino Royale approaching the end of its astonishing run at the worldwide box office, more and more details and rumours are being revealed about the upcoming Bond 22, due for release in November 2008. In an interview on The Trades, screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (who worked on Casino Royale, Die Another Day and The World Is Not Enough) discussed the reception to Daniel Craig’s first James Bond film and revealed some details on Bond 22. While discussing the many BAFTA nominations for Casino Royale, Purvis said: ‘We were very surprised by the nominations because it takes something for people to think of Casino Royale as just a good film and not a Bond film.’ ‘Being nominated is a huge leap forward for a Bond movie,’ added Wade. Comparing Bond to Craig’s reception with the press, Wade said: ‘Bond’s sort of struggling against the odds. What’s h...
