I've read books, you know, it's amazing. I've drunk and wenched my way through Dallas but I'm thinking all the time... "Vegas, Vegas, Vegas", ya know? Amazing tradition. They throw a great party for you on the one day they know you can't come. It's amazing what you can do when you don't have to look at yourself in the mirror. | | Static Link |

"Honeymoon in Vegas" is definitely my second favorite "Vegas" flick of all time (ahem... right behind another certain Nicholas Cage film that I won't mention... suffice it to say there is alcohol and a hooker involved ). Besides, those flying Elvis' sure beat Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell anyday. I'm personally not a big fan of the chick who wears the pants in the Broderick household, but she definitely has a great bod, and her performance is right up there with her role in the Bruce Willis flick "Striking Distance". As always James Caan is great in the Robert Redford "Indecent Proposal"-role of big man stealing little man's woman. And Cage is like an early Tom Hanks, except better... you know, he is still full of fun loving energy instead of lulling through "Shadow of the Vampire" producer mode in his Hollywood Castle (the Castle is literal, I mean the dude is like Baron Stanley "Memphis"... | | Read Entire Entry |

Movies like Raising Arizona, Red Rock West, Vampire's Kiss and Honeymoon in Vegas highlighted the man's ability to be funny, charming, quirky and believable all at the same time. Then he signed that ol' contract with that certain red-tailed feller and well....it's been downhill ever since. You should definitely check this one out though...he's very funny in it and the story is just goddamn cute and Elvis, baby....ELVIS!!!!!! | | Static Link |

Y'all convinced me to give Leaving Las Vegas a try and you were right...he was great. Do the films that he is in only turn out well if they have Vegas in the title? | | Static Link |

Director: Andrew Bergman
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Sarah Jessica Parker, James Caan I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! I've probably seen it over 15 times and it still manages to crack me up every time that I watch it. Everything about this movie appeals to me. Nic Cage in his peak "frantic" comedy mode, screaming suddenly whenever he needs to make a point and cracking up piece by piece on the big screen (an excellent comedic performance-- I only wish that he did more of those nowadays). Sarah Jessica Parker, despite not being a favorite of mine, wears a lot of tight dresses and looks mighty sweet in them bikinis. James Caan....aaaaaah, what can you say about Jimmy Caan in this film? The man takes the goofy mobster role and adds another level to it (and that level is goddamn fright, ya'll!). This guy is both funny and pretty damn scary in this movie. I wouldn't want to fuck with him, I'll tell you that much. But what takes this so-called "typical" romantic comedy even fur... | | Read Entire Entry |
