Even more suspense, more humor and more wit. I love the scene where Jenny McCarthy hides in the room with all the scream masks. And the whole scene in Parker Posey's house and when the house blows up is just wonderfully executed. All in all, the most entertaining one in the series.

I can tell that Wes Craven didn't have his heart in it; all the thrills are long gone. Let's face it, he only did this in exchange for making "Music of the Heart." The final revelation is, to me, little more than a sign of desperation to (unsuccessfully) inject some life back into the series. If that wasn't a rec-con, I don't know what is. I liked Lance Henriksen, but his screen time is insufficient to make any difference. Jenny McCarthy's cameo is just a pointless bit of stunt casting. I did like the cameo by Kevin Smith, but I wish he had a larger role. "Scream 3" is slightly better than the second installment, but not by much. 5/10 [This message has been edited by Cyclonus (edited 08-18-2001).] | | Static Link |

The laughs (and to me that is indeed what the series is about) were few and far between. The concept of the third film was fine enough but the characters lacked their distinctive edge conferred upon them by WIlliamson's pen. Adequate film all in all, but it makes the series go out with a whimper. | | Static Link |

Scream 2 was a better movie than the 3rd installment in my opinion, the characters were terrible. The only horror movie that probably has worst character is Valentine, which I didn't like either. Scream - 9.5/10
Scream 2 - 8.5/10

I was very surprised with it, I remember when I was lined up for it opening night on Feb. 4th, 2000 I was thinking "please don't suck." And it definately didn't. I saw it three times in the theater and a million more on video. It's a GREAT flick. It was clever as hell and the cameo from Jay and Silent Bob was funny. This one kept the thrills and the fun and brought back wonderful memories of the BRILLIANT first film. This movie was better than SCREAM 2 and came closer to the brilliance of the first one. The only thing I didn't really like was the voice changer thing, was that even possible? Anyway, SCREAM 3 was excellent and I don't know why a lot of people don't like it. The whole series was GREAT! The characters where all crap in this movie, i was so dissapointed that Gale wasn't the bitch she was in the first two in here as well and dewey was written stupider that he was in the first two (the characeters are all off) the voice changing thing was stupid and crap, i couldn't care less who died and who didn't, no gore at all, except for the first death scene the rest are all crap i still enjoyed it though | | Static Link |

I really think Scream 3 made the whole series look like shit.I hated it because now they say that Roman was the killer an not Stu and Billy.I mean come on! That ruined the whole damn series. The only time I laughed was when the cameo part of Jay and Silent Bob.And another thing, everybody fucking lived! Geese, they could of at least killed Gayle or something.I hate Scream 3 and I think it's the worst in the series! | | Static Link |

Parker Posey Almost everyone I know despises this movie. If you are a huge fan of the series like me you probably like it. Like number 2 I don't know why not many peiople don't like this movie. And like I said in number 2's review, I'll tell you why I like this. Cotton Weary is murdered and a picture of Sidney's mom. Sidney is now living deep in the California woods. Gale and Dewey reunite on the set of Stab 3. Detective Kincaid shows Dewey and Gale the picture of Sidney's mom. Sidney hears about Cotton's death via the news and once again everybody that survived from the first 2 films reunite in Los Angeles. Yuppers, ghostface is back for one last Scream. This is my second favorite of the series. I really love the whole film within a film feel to this movie. Also Mr. Craven put the darker feel back into the movie. There was a cool explosion too. Parker Posey stole every scene she was in! I really dug her in this. I also loved Gale's bitchiness. There ... | | Read Entire Entry |
