They both have heaps of action, gore, good (enough) special effects, good plot, but they both had the drawing out all his blood thing, but that was good. Blade 10/10

Del Toro's put alot of thought into this film, a whole lot more happening here. Luke Goss is one pretty mean villian, in some parts I even cheered for him more than Blade, with a name like Jared Nomak I'm not surprised. These two kicked ass, their fight at the end was class, with elbow drops to bear hugs. Classic. Better than the first IMO, 9/10 | | Static Link |

The original Blade concentrated more on characterization and Blade 2 seemed to concentrate more on fighting. It seemed too
slick to me with all the CGI. | | Static Link |

I didn't like BLADE that much but I decided I'd give the sequel a try anyway. And to my surprise I actually liked it better than the first one. The action scenes are GREAT and non-stop---and although that's one of the best things about this sequel it is also one of the worst---it had TOO much action. I loved the first Blade, mostly because Stephen Dorff's character was awesome, but this one exceeds it. The action is almost non-stop, and the gore level is high. Wesley Snipes has almost no lines, but he plays the part so well, it's amazing. The end also, even though expected, put a huge smile on my face. "You didn't think I forgot about you?" Anyways, I give it a 8/10 | | Static Link |

I really liked "Blade II", but it just seemed mindless to me. There was so much action and hardly any talking at all, except for Blade's annoying new sidekick, who insisted on calling Blade "B" every two minutes. The first one was much more thought out and interesting. This one was also extremely and in some cases unecessarily violent(one scene has a couple tongue kissing with razorblades in their mouths). Mindless, violent, but fun. RATING 7.5/10 | | Static Link |
