Having the movie tell a story about a girl growing up in the world and having a horror twist at the end of it is a delight. I would say this is mostly aimed at the female horror fan but who cares I loved this. It was definitly a depressing movie, two close-gothic-sisters are obessed with death and their relationship is falling apart because one of them is becoming a werewolf and has a taste for meat. Katherine and Emily have great chemistry together, they were great. Especially Emily Perkins as the shy younger sister, she was just simply great in that role. Always had her head down when she talked to others, a nice touch I noticed. As I said this is a very depressing movie and it had me reaching for a box of tissues once it ended, the ending was very powerful for me. It broke my heart to see it end like that but it was fitting for the movie and worked well. My Rating:: B (8.5/10) | | Static Link |

The relationship between the sister came off perfectly realistic as well as their peers around them. i felt like I was thrown right back into high school, minus the whole hairy werewolf part. I mean, it has been almost a year since I've seen it. Plus, after seeing Katherine Isabelle in Freddy vs. Jason, I wanted to see her again. I wanted more . Damn! I wish I could just buy it, but I don't want the stupid FULL FRAME American version. I want the WIDESCREEN Canadian version. I don't know why they didn't release the Canadian version here too . This little sucker just keeps growing on me more and more with each viewing. It required more than one viewing for me to really appreciate because the first viewing blew me away and I didn't know what to think. All I knew was I had just seen one very dark, morbid, bloody, funny, wicked, depressing, and very original horror flick. I honestly didn't know if I liked it or not because it was so different and no movie has ever made me so damn down. I felt like I was hit by a bus afterwards, it was so strange. I'm just glad I can watch it now without getting depressed. I had my 26 year old cousin watch it because she thought it sounded like some stupid B movie but I had to prove her wrong. She was so pissed at me after the movie because she got really depressed and couldn't believe I'd have her watch a movie that was so damn depressing. I saw it last night and all I can say is WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! I'll spare you a synopsis.......the film started out very very good.......Emily Perkins and katherine Isabelle were great in there roles, Mimi Rogers was great as well. The script was sly and witty and the gore was good. The first half of the movie was involving and then it went all down hill. It was too long and too many aspects of the plot were left unresolved.
