This movie had a really good story to it. It shows you that no one should take any abuse from anybody. A cheating and abusing husband is what she had to get away from. Many people will not think this movie is good because of the plot. They can't bring themselves to believe this happens everyday in the world. What's wrong with this movie? I am a man and I would never do this a woman. I really enjoyed how she fought back. Is it too hard to believe that a woman can overpower a man? This movie shows it can be done. This is a suspenseful thriller. | | Static Link |

First off, obviously ripping off the movie "sleeping with the enemy" it totally ruins anything that the movie had, and adds JLo as the lead. Am I suposed to belive that a couple of kickboxing sessions can turn a prissy, anoying, one dementional bitch into Stalone?? No! I don't buy any of it. NOTHING in this movie treats the audience like inteligent people, insted, it plays itself to the 12 and 13 year old audience that it might slightly entertain. All in all, dont waste ANY money on this garbage, not even for JLo. 2/10 | | Static Link |

The screenplay writer has seen too many "lifetime" women flicks and tried to throw them all together, it came out not so good. The whole thing was like "Double Jeopardy" with different thoughts, but the same plot. I don't know, some of it was ok I suppose and Lopez is definately bangable but this flick is in my low count. Jennifer Lopez did not act very well but that didn't stop me from liking it. It had lots of fighting and had a cool ending fight sequence is the house!!! It was a fun Pop Corn thriller which I enjoyed and recommend to most people I know. If you go to your local video store and they don't have a copy of Minority Report or something good like that, then give this one a chance. 8/10 | | Static Link |
| Posted by: tylerdurdensays at December 29, 2002, 4:31 pm | | Topic: Reviews: Enough Forum: JoBlo | | This takes second place for worst movie I've seen in a movie theater this years. Ballistics was #1. Anyway, this movie wasn't downright terrible, but it wasn't great. Jennifer Lopez can't really act, at all. I saw it a while ago, so it's not really fresh in my mind, but I just remember it was a bit cheesy. The whole training sequence was very 80s Rocky-ish (you ever see that ski resort 'South Park' episode that was a satire of 80s flicks? you gotta have a montage... MONTAGE!). The bottom line is, don't look for symbolism, hidden meanings, deep themes... it's a mediocore thriller that probably made most of it's money because people think Jlo is hot. Overall, an OK way to kill time, nothing I would ever watch again. Oh, and the v. o.'s from the training sequences were a bit melodramatic (spelling?) | | Static Link |

I am not a J-Lo fan, and I was expecting a really humdrum story, with about as much to offer as the Social Security Office. Instead, we had another chilling flick in the tradition of The Cell, featuring a scared shiteless mother running from a psycho with mafia-like connections and a killer instinct. Now it's time for her to train to fight back! Doesn't sound that original does it? Well, even though I've had just about Enough of these domestic abuse movies (ironically), I can say that this one built up the desired tension with a number of chase and be-chased scenes, and released it full speed ahead with an awesome ending. As seen before in movies like The Score, this flick has a ... | | Read Entire Entry |

How this flick wound up with relatively "good" reviews is beyond me. This blandly directed, manipulative and not so subtle piece of "feminism wannabee" propoganda had me vomiting my Chips and Dip all over myself. I knew I was in trouble the moment the oh so "insightful" Title Cards popped up early on. Fuck me man! The film's worst sin of all though is that it tackles such a potent and dead serious subject matter with the maturity of a "Power Rangers" episode. I find it appaling that a tale that deals with wife beating would keep its two feet firmly planted into such a fantasy world where all of the men are "super-duper-evil" cartoon characters, where all of the plot turns are idiotic to the point of self mutilation and where the dialogue is well; freaking atrocious ("Cake-Pie" BARFFFFFFFFF). I think there should be a law established where motion pictures... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: Snowboy at June 9, 2002, 6:19 am | | Topic: Reviews: Enough Forum: JoBlo | | Now this is good quality entertainment. Sure, the storyline is tired, but with a cast such as this, you can't go wrong. Jennifer Lopez gave a terrific performance as the wife of a sleezeball-from-hell. She has more talent than people give her credit for I think. And Billy Campbell, wow, what a slimeball!! Now that is good acting if you ask me..you want to hate him, you LOVE to hate him *grin*. And who could forget the little girl, she was absolutely PRECIOUS and gave the film some moments of humor. I'm not gonna go into the negatives a whole lot, just that the storyline isn't original, those damn index card things..wha??????? Aaaaaaaaanyway..I think it's good to appreciate films like this. You shouldn't over analyze a movie like this, just enjoy it for what it is. Good solid entertainment. 7/10 | | Static Link |

I have gained self cofidence and I feel strong. This movie will encourage you to become confident and go and kick some butt. People that are that situation like she was it makes them feel like they can get of this situation. Jennifer Lopez is a great actress and she played the part well. | Posted by: REAL_XYZ at June 3, 2002, 10:49 am | | Topic: Reviews: Enough Forum: JoBlo | | First off, I'm NOT a J. Lopez fan, but I didn't really hate this movie. Yes, the plot used a cookie cutter formula, but overall...it was a good time at the cinema. What was up with the titles inserted between scenes? That added an extra level of cheese to the movie. Also, unlike JoBlo, I hated the fact that Ms. Lopez's character was constantly referred to as "Slim" by EVERYONE! It would have been nice to hear someone call her by her actual name at least once throughout the movie. The runaway and training sequences seemed far-fetched, but I dismissed the plot holes associated with these scenes. This movie did drag on in parts, so I would have enjoyed it more if it were 30 minutes shorter. So, I have to say 7.5/10 for this movie. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: idealdiscountdude at May 25, 2002, 9:15 pm | | Topic: Reviews: Enough Forum: JoBlo | | In the vein of "women in jeopardy" films such as Sleeping With The Enemy and Double Jeopardy comes the Jennifer Lopez flick Enough. Enough stars J to tha Lo as Slim, a beautiful woman who seemed to have it all; a beautiful daughter, all the finer things in life, and an adoring husband. However her life gets turned upside down when she discovers that her husband is cheating on her, and when she confronts him, he beats her. The rest of the film is pretty self-explanatory. Firstly, Enough is pure entertainment. It wasn't made to win Academy Awards or even to prove a point about domestic abuse, it is simply a story of revenge and survival. The Positives: J.Lo is perfect as Slim. She gives it her all and her performance is well done. Tessa Allen as her little "Tootse" is friggin' cute as hell and perfect. I enjoyed the entire revenge aspect of the film. Although it is cliched, I must say that I was on the edge of my seat for most of the film, and even cheered win J.Lo was kicking the crap out ... | | Read Entire Entry |
