The plot was really lame, the action sequences looked fake and were predictable, as well as the bad guy "twist". Some of the characters were interesting I must say, but in a movie like this I didn't care about them. The ending was horrible too, and I predicted it before seeing the movie. It was so obvious. I will never see this movie again, it was a horrible experience. I know that if I see it again I will lower my rating. And honestly I'm sick of changing my ratings every 5 minutes. 4/10 or D+ | | Static Link |

When I first saw LXG, I had not yet read the original graphic novel (by Alan "Watchmen" Moore), and I got a huge kick out of it; cool characters, wild and crazy action, mildly interesting if ludicrous plot. My kind of movie through and through. Then I picked up the comic, gave it a read-through. Right from the very start I could see the differences between the comic and movie, and I had clear likes/dislikes for both, but on the whole, the comic did quite a few things better. Afterward, I went to see the movie a second time, and truth be told, I enjoyed it even more the second time around, because having read the original source material, I could see what little bits and pieces they lifted from the novel, despite the changes the filmmakers made. CHARACTERS: The comic version of Allan Quatermain is an opium-addicted old prune who seems more ineffectual at his job than anybody else in the League. The movie's version is Sean Connery - which already gives him the advantage - and can still... | | Read Entire Entry |

Like comedies, summer movies tend to be either like/hate movies, and is hard to convince otherwise | | Static Link |

I was one of the folk who were actually looking forward to this film. It was a bit cheesy and stupid at times, but it was still a bit of fun. Plus, it was the insipration for the LXP. | | Static Link |

I wouldn't want you to change your grade just to try and have the same grade as some others. Though it would be cool to see how many 2/10 ratings it could get. However, I wouldn't want anyone to give it one just for the sake of it, I'd want them to honestly feel it deserves it. | | Static Link |

I kinda did too. The plot was kinda ho-hum and even if the movie is riddled with logic gaps I thought the action was alot of fun. The performances were pretty decent and one thing I would give this movie credit for is: I didn't see the double cross coming. All in all it was pretty decent I thought. I'm still not sure what to give this but it's between a 6.5/10 or 7/10. | | Static Link |

Simply put this is one of those movie you stare at the screen wondering if youre actually seeing things right. The movie is akward, boring, and at many times incoherent. It felt like nobody had any idea what the Hell they were doing on this film and just kind of jumped back and forth randomly between genres and tones. A movie with potential that was wasted and misbegotten. There were so many things that didnt make sense in this movie Spoilers!!!!!! 1. Cars driving in Venice!!!! 2. A submarine in Venice!!!!!! 3. Did the Venice plot line have a point other than to move charcter to various positions? 4. The car flips and c rashes up side down but Toms okay and somehow makes it back in time for the submarine? 5. What was the bad guy deliberately making himself look disfigured? 6. Why did M hire t hem if he was a bad guy? 7. I wonder if Copnnery will fall and Huck will have to learn to shoot straight? Oh my God Im right!!! 8. Ending??? I could go on and on. 2/10 | | Static Link |

I wish I would have believed some of the people that said this movie was really boring, but instead, I listened to the few people that said it was really fun if you leave your brain at the door. After seeing it, I can’t imagine what the people that said it was really fun were smoking. I can’t believe how hard it was to endure this movie. If you would have asked me at the 45 minute mark what was going on in the movie, the best answer I could have given would have been “They’re going somewhere to do something.” I checked a few times during the movie to see how much time was left, and after checking again at around the 45 minute mark and seeing that it still had an hour or better left, I decided to just fast forward through it. This rarely happens to me. Usually, no matter how bored I am, I like to watch a movie all the way through. But with this one, I just couldn’t take anymore. I wanted the p... | | Read Entire Entry |
