I don't see what the big hype is here, this movie sucked. Robin Williams is the only good thing about it. 2/5

I didn't really like this. Williams did very good, but that was about all that I enjoyed. Everything else was kind of laughable, not gripping, and the whole backstory was lame. 5/10

10/10 This is the best Robin Williams movie. I loved every minute of it. His character was so sad. I was shocked at the depth Williams could portray. And what was even a bigger shock, he was not nominated for best actor. Possibily the biggest snub of all tme. Is in my top 10 of all time.

I finally saw this film in Jan 2004, renting it out of the video store and I must say I was loved the movie! It was creepy and a great character study film. Robin Williams (My favourite actor of all time!) was brilliant as Sy, and this is my second favourite performance of his. Like in Insomnia, Robin Williams shows he can play psycho/evil parts. Every scene was intriguing exploring Sy's lonesome world. I really felt sorry for Sy, and I kept thinking how much better of a person he would've been if he had some friends. The only downside to the film was the running time. I felt it fell a little short. But overall I thought this film was wonderful and another performance by Robin Williams to remember. A performance he should've been nominated for at the Oscars IMO! 9/10

A very, very good film. The cinematography and music are very good, and the directing is both emotionally effective and stylish. Acting is strong all around, but it's Williams who really shines in this. His pest performance so far. I thought the story was very interesting and I really felt for Syd. Yes, he was creepy, but I understood and symphasized him. I think the amount of appreciation one feels for this film has very much to with one's ability to identify with Sy. 8/10.

I think what I loved about this film is how they had different hues that have to do with color film processing, especially in the SavMart where everything was a cyan color. One thing I didn't like was the was the kid knew nothing about the Evangelion toy he wanted. I followed that series and that toy was a bad guy and was not "60 ft tall" like he said. They are more like the size of a skyscraper. Over all it was awesome to watch on the big screen. 8/10

This was one as soon as I saw the trailer so when it had its minor release here I went and saw it and It was great. Robin Williams gives a great performance and is very creepy and I just love how the ending. SPOILERS:::::::: You know the movie did its job at protraying how important your wife and husband is as the movie was over I saw many couples hugging and being caring and that made the expierince all the better to see the reaction that the audience had with this powerful film. END SPOILERS::::::: Great Performances all around the table and a good story, one I had actually thought about before this movie was released. That always seems to happen my ideas getting on the big screen...oh well. Take 2 hours and go to the ONE HOUR PHOTO - 8/10

One Hour Photo was my favorite movie of last year. Robin Williams flawless performance as Sy was by far the most under rated performance of the year as well. Before this Williams actually kinda annoyed the crap out of me. All of his family friendly films made me wanna puke. Then this movie come along and blows me out of the water. Ironicly, "family-friendly" is an interesting word when used in context of this film. I left the theatre in awe, and I bought it on DVD as soon as it was released. One Hour Photo-10/10 By the way, how does this "workprint" differ from the one released?

I watched this tuesday night and I thought it was good, but not "great" like I had heard and expected. Good performances all around, and I was never bored, but it was still missing something that I can't quite put my finger on. Anyway, it's a good flick, but a little disappointing. Grade: 7/10 (B-) By the way, is their something I should know about the ending? I remember people discussing the ending when it was in theaters because some people didn't get it, what about the ending didn't people get? I'm sure that picture confused some people. Is their anything about the picture I should know?

If you get a chance, see the WP version.

What exactly makes this movie "overrated"? I thought it was pretty complete. Theres a lot of meat to discuss. This was my favorite of the year. (The thing is that there is a lot that I have missed).

I love this movie. As soon as it comes out on DVD I will rush to the stores and purchase it immediately. Robin Williams was absolutely breathtaking in his best performance ever. The bursting eyeballs effect, the heartbreaking drama, the freaky horror/thriller scenes, and the delusional fantasies of Sy all make for a mucho entertaining film. This is my #2 of 2002 at the moment, I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! Grade: 10/10 or A+

I agree. This is a haunting, disturbing film. The only bad thing is, Robin Williams' performance overshadows most other good things in the film. He gave one of, if not, the best of 2002. But, it was a good movie. I liked it. Not overrated in the least... 8/10

One Hour Photo is a good, haunting film about an obsessed and jealous man...that features a very good performance by Robin Williams. Williams play Sy the photo guy...a lonely, meticulous photo store clerk at a SaveMart. He has no friends or relatives and is dedicated to his work...processing pictures for suburban America. He lives his life through other people's pictures and especially a young family who bring in their pictures of the happy times of their life each week. Williams' narration throughout the film gives us insight into Sy's world and the detail which he views the rest of the world through pictures. Sy is weird, creepy and obsessive, but he has a pleasant manner about him. He is not angry and crazy all the time...in fact he is very friendly with customers, employees and other people in general. Only when he sees that a certain member of the suburban family doesn't appreciate the life they have is when Sy flys off the handle. The film features a white, cold emotionless feel and a terrific haunting...
