I was just thinking, Colin Farrell has shown great potential, and played some great roles, but he really hasn't been in a lot of good movies. Looking at his filmography, there aren't too many films that I really enjoyed. Too bad. I hope he plays more solid roles, such as in In Bruges in the future.

In Bruges is a great movie. The cast is excellent, and really makes it what it is. While Colin Farrell was great in it, I feel that Brendan Gleeson was even better. He has consistently played great roles, and been brilliant in them. While Fiennes is only in the end of the film, he was also perfect for the role. In Bruges was funny, thoughtful, well-made, and altogether great. 9/10

This movie was incredible.. in all aspects of the word. There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said or talked about. So all I'll say is WOW.. I never saw someone fall from a building and land like that. 10/10

whatever.. im not gonna argue any more but ill just say that farell is better than statham. Especially his performance in this movie is amazing, tho id agree he hasnt been in too many good movies but Statham did make Crank and Transporter so hes not much competition, but this movie is fucking spectacular... easily the best movie of the year in my opinion, cuz dark knight was very good but wont even be nominated for best picture. I think its my favorite movie of all time, its similar to pulp fiction in terms of overall theme and i think its better.. 10/10 amazing

Rented this last night and loved it. It's one hell of a movie. 9/10 You don't know karate. lol As for the Jason Statham comparison, I like both of them, but from what I've seen of both my opinion is that Colin is the superior actor of the two. I can see Colin winning an oscar some day, I've said that for years, but for some reason I don't see it happening for Jason. Not to say it won't, but his performances just don't strike me as oscar caliber, but I guess The Transporter and Crank really aren't oscar type movies anyway. I haven't seen The Bank Job yet though. I did see parts of London, didn't watch the entire movie, but did see his monologue about not being able to have perform. It was decent, but one of the best performances in recent years, I have to disagree. My bf isn't the biggest Colin Farrell fan, but after watching In Bruges last night he said after watching that anyone who doesn't think Colin Farrell is a good actor has to be fucking retarded.

This directors first CINEMATIC directing attempt went fairly well. With the exception of a few 'what the fuck' moments, which is inevitable your first time doing film (what works in theatre sometimes just doesn't work on the screen), this movie turned out really well. A great rookie performance.

The wife and I finely got to this film. We both liked it very much, wonderful dark humor with some very convincing drama tossed in. Let me see if I can word this without spoilers . . . the way the characters were affected by the event that forced them to hideout was amazing and real, the older mans (Ken) affection for the younger man (Ray) was cool as well. Every moment of the film was well written and wonderfully acted, except the ending. Yes the ending worked but I felt the irony at the end to be a bit forced. Farrell did a GREAT job, best I have seen from him. I never got the idea that the older guy was gay, just Farrell's character busting his balls because he likes culture, history and fancy beer . . . this is what men do with men they like and respect. The affection between these two men was anything but sexual; they were partners with some history before they started working together as the older one brought the younger into the hit man busyness. To much of this thread was spent talking about other sh...

I can bring up Alexander and say Farrell is terrible, come on. Even Al Pacino had his terrible films. I don't know why you hate on Statham so much but your missing some great films by being that way. Statham has about 3 movies in total that he plays the same type of character, and thats out of what? like 30 he's been in?

I just watched In Bruges, and it was fuckin' fantastic. Some great dark comedy throughout 3/4 of the movie, and the last part was pretty tense and sick. A black comedy for sure, there're some great quotes from this: "That's for John Lennon ya yankee fuckin' cunt!" and "You leave my cunt fucking kids out of this!" Farrell's best performance to date IMO. I think he's a damned good actor, and it's nice to see him use his regular Irish accent for a change. Also enjoyed Gleeson as his gay friend, they had a good chemistry working together I thought. Fiennes was just a rotten motherfucker, did a helluva job as well. Excellent flick.

I just saw Snatch last night for the first time and I have to say Stathom is actually pretty different in that than in something like Crank or the Transporter flicks. I'm not saying he's in the same league as somebody like Daniel Day Lewis or Gary Oldman but he's not the same either.
