| Posted by: NCFan at June 2, 2004, 5:53 am | | Topic: Bruce Almighty Forum: JoBlo | | I loved Bruce Almighty. Jim Carrey was soooooooooo funny. The scene I laughed the most at, was the scene where Bruce was saying all this jibberish so that the anchor guy would looked silly on screen. I haven't laughed that hard since...maybe My Best Friend's Wedding. Comedy is what Jim does best!!! Jennifer Aniston was also very good in this movie, much better actor on her part than other movies she has been in. 8/10 | | Static Link |

| Posted by: Snowboy at May 11, 2004, 8:19 pm | | Topic: Bruce Almighty Forum: JoBlo | | Surprisingly funny. Jim Carrey is at the top of his game here, bringing his manic style of physical comedy. Though not completely original, I liked the idea behind the film. There were quite a few moments which almost brought me to tears from laughter (Bruce messing with the anchorman was classic!). However, I'm glad I didn't see this in theaters, because while it is an overall entertaining film, it is far from worth paying $8 for. 6/10 | | Static Link |

Cool Stars (Morgan Freeman, Jim Carey, Jennifer Aniston) I like the Jim Carey + Jennifer Aniston combination. But the movie just wasn't all that great for me. Bruce Almighty - 5/10 | | Static Link |

I made the mistake of smoking too much wolfbane and watched the deleted scenes... when he is supposedly dropping from an airplane and the wind is whipping his face around... oh my god... I almost blacked out... too much fun... am giggling now just thinking about it... | | Static Link |

Obviously they do. It's not like I was being dead-serious when I said that, it was basically just an expression. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: Mike at December 1, 2003, 7:19 am | | Topic: Bruce Almighty Forum: JoBlo | | BRUCE ALMIGHTY (2003) A mostly unfunny and annoying comedy. I didn't think it looked very funny from the previews, but thought it would at least be amusing, and figured I would like it a good deal more than I did. Only one scene made me laugh though. Jim Carrey gave another annoyingly over-the-top performance. I still don't see how acting like he does can be hilarious to some people. It just annoys me. The little highlight of this movie is Jennifer Aniston. She was cute, as usual, and easy on the eyes. Without her, or some other likable actress in the role, the movie probably would have been even worse. I will never know how so many people could find this movie good enough to bring it well over $200 Million at the Box Office. Grade: 5/10 (C) | | Static Link |
