Only this movie destroyed the whole series. Jay and Silent Bob's cameo destroyed its credibility. Even though I love the Clerks crew, they should've stayed away from this film. This movie was too mainstream. All the Hollywood- associated plot made it less thrilling than its predecessors. Scream: 9/10 Scream 2: 8/10 Scream 3: 3/10 This movie sucks pure ass. | | Static Link |

This one wasn't as good as the first and second one and certainly wasn't gory. I guess it was a little clever, but Ghostface should join the retirement center with Freddy, Jason, and Michael. | | Static Link |

Neve Campbell is great here, and more beautiful. But the best character here was Jennifer(Played by hilarious Parker Posey).I also liked Tyson, Tom and Gale.David Arquette looking dumb as usual. Great cameos!!!!(Specially the one with Jay and Silent Bob) A great movie... | | Static Link |

While Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) lives in safely guarded seclusion, bodies begin dropping around the Hollywood set of "Stab 3", the latest movie sequel based on the gruesome Woodsboro killings. And when the escalating terror finally brings her out of hiding, Sidney and other Woodsboro survivors are once again drawn into an insidious game of horror movie mayhem. But just when they thought they knew how to play by the rules, they discover that all the rules have been broken. REVIEW
The characters in this film are terrible. Even ones from the previous two are messed up and out of character. Gale (Courteney Cox) and Dewey (David Arquette) are two fine examples. Sidney (Neve Campbell) is more of a psychopath than to real one is. She is living is on top of a deserted mountain spot and has bars on the windows, alarms all over the goddamn place and a cute looking doggy to protect her. Det. Mark Kincaid (Patrick Dempsey) and Jennifer (Parker Posey) are likeable characters. I c... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: SummerTime7665 at June 8, 2002, 3:25 pm | | Topic: Reviews: Scream 3 Forum: JoBlo | It's hard to explain to you what I thought of this movie. It was very very good, that's for sure. Here is the order in which I enjoyed the scream movies the most from greatest to least.
1. Scream 2
2. Scream 3
3. Scream
Now, I'm probably the only one who feels this way. Everyone else bows before Scream. It was way more of a surprise who the killer was in this movie. I still can't believe how genius that last scene was. It was perfect. Some of this movie was just plain disturbing. Like when Sidney is practically reliving her life in a movie set of her house and the killer is pretending to be her dying mother. I loved the whole cat and mouse game of it all. The scene at the movie star's house where it all blows up--well executed to say the least. I loved Gale Wheather's shadow--Parker Posey. She was very funny and perfectly cast. Played by anyone else, and you might have ended up hating her. I liked the search for the killer in the basement of the old studio. When he's hiding in a rack of costu... | | Read Entire Entry |

| Posted by: The UserName at March 15, 2002, 12:07 pm | | Topic: Reviews: Scream 3 Forum: JoBlo | | I haven't seen this movie for a while but i saw it enough times to review it. This movie wasn't scary at all, it's a good movie to watch for fun and to laugh though. Great cast and funny movie with a few celebrity's getting murdered along the way. Jay and Silent Bob have a little role with one of the funniest lines in the movie. I did expect more from this movie, because it was the ending toa great trilogy(scream 2 was my least favorite). I think that one more main character should have definitely died though. Anyway, overall i give this film an 8/10. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: areyoubeingserved at March 15, 2002, 3:25 am | | Topic: Reviews: Scream 3 Forum: JoBlo | | A poor ending to a stunningly original first two movies. SCREAM 3 resorts to boring plot twists to try and keep up with its previous two films but loses itself after the first minute. After the first two films had relied on such quality supproting characters this one doesn't even bother with them, thinking that giving them names is enough. Without Kevin Williamson this was destined to sink, Egrer whateverhisnamebe just can't cut it and with only one good line ('It's your turn to scream asshole') this is a dissapointing piece of garbage. 4. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: The1TrueFrog at March 12, 2002, 9:42 pm | | Topic: Reviews: Scream 3 Forum: JoBlo | | Scream 3 - 7/10. The "Scream" trilogy follows a unique pattern for it to be a horror series. Usually, you have a damn good movie, followed by a decent movie, then by the third installment, the whole idea has turned to shite. But "Scream" was different. The first movie was average, the second dumb, then this one was good! In fact, so good, it enhances the first too from shite to decent! Lots of new ideas were brought into this one. First, throughout the movie, Neve Campbell's character is being literally haunted by the killer (she thinks it's her late mom calling), which adds to the confusion of the movie. Second, the now-dead Randy makes an appearance on a videotape to try to help everyone one. The killer has voices like all of Sydney's friends.. It's very good! For the first time, the ending will trick you. An overall good ending to the Scream trilogy, and as not to jinx it, we have hopefully put the whole thing to bed. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: AppleHuntr at January 7, 2002, 7:47 pm | | Topic: Reviews: Scream 3 Forum: JoBlo | | I have no idea what people have against the fun Scream 2, but why they like the 3rd one is more of a mystery. This film had NO energy, just sulked through murders and "hip" dialogue. This new screen writer has got some nerve to mess with the series so profoundly (Scott Foley told Billy and Stu to start their murderin' spree). I just didnt take to this films lame contrivances and LOW-scare level. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: Snowboy at January 5, 2002, 4:45 am | | Topic: Reviews: Scream 3 Forum: JoBlo | | I remember when the original Scream came out. Everyone at my high school was raving about it, so I finally went to see it, and I was blown away. When the second one came out, I was entertained, but not nearly as much as the first. Now the final Scream comes out, and let me tell you I was quite impressed. The humor level went up, great dialogue, great performances all around, and a really cool ending. I have to give kudos to Neve Campbell, who has established herself as a solid actress, and she comes through again, though I think she was a bit fragile for my taste..I dunno..if I had been through something like that, it would take time for me to get over. Cox-Arquette and David Arquette are wonderful together. Jenny McCarthy is HOT The only complaint I had was the lack of the self-referential lines which made the first Scream so good. I mean, it had its moments, but there were times when I was thinking "Ok, THIS should have happened like this, bla bla bla." An overall good film to watch and to have f... | | Read Entire Entry |

| Posted by: Cyclonus at November 17, 2001, 3:25 pm | | Topic: Reviews: Scream 3 Forum: JoBlo | | By this point, the material was stretched so thin they had to pull all these new plot revelations out of nowhere. Without getting into specifics, I am positive that none of that stuff was even conceived of when the first two were made. I suppose it's more watchable than "Scream 2," but that's not much of a recommendation. I kinda liked seeing Lance Henriksen (as a veteran horror director), but he doesn't get enough screen time. 5/10. | | Static Link |
