omg this movie was sooo funny!! definately 9/10! I loved the scene when Christina's lipgloss fell in the car and Cameron is trying to grab it. That was hilarious!! When me and my friends are watching this movie, its like watching our own real life soap. Funny!!!

I actually really liked this movie and I'm a guy. I thought this was really freaking funny (the golfing scene being my favorite). This movie is a good example I think of male humor being done by women, which is pretty funny. After awhile though, it stopped being funny and started with the romance crap and that's not really something I enjoy, but the rest easily made up for it. I give it a 7/10 and recommend it to any fan of dumb comedy movies. Rock On!!

This film was sheer torture. In fact it should be outlawed as such under the terms of the Geneva Convention.

Hmmm. Not very funny, and everyone was trying too hard for laughs. The script was awful, and the acting was terrible. 1/10

I also loved this movie - how can you not like Cameron and Applegate? they are too cute and very good - the situations they got in were priceless - I was laughing out loud often! way better than all those movies that come out trying so hard to be funny and they are not (i.e. Anchorman, Dodgeball.....)

I loved this movie. I had never heard of the movie, but my wife brought it on a camping trip in case we had some downtime. As it turns out we got caught in a late season blizzard and had tons of downtime! We ended up watching this movie 3 times and I almost injured myself from laughing so hard. This movie is not for everyone. It's American Pie with female leads. Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate are hard partying best friends who would like to find love but don't mind finding a boy toy to take home in the meantime. Selma Blair is their more traditional friend who they decide is in need of a little gratuitous sex. Applegate and Diaz are very convincing as successful women who like to have fun. Blair is sweet and sexy. Jason Bateman gives a great supporting performance as the smooth talking, rapid fire joke telling brother of Diaz'a love interest (Thomas Jane) Now if girls talking frankly and graphically about sex or being caught in less than ladylike situations bothers you, do not see this film. If not, I ...

What a horrible movie. The only thing decent about this movie was the song "You're Too Big To Fit In Here" which was not part of the theatrical release, so I have been told. It was too over-the-top ....bubbly and not to my liking. The ONLY reason I'm even giving this movie a 4 is b/c of the song ...without it i'd give it a 2 4/10

The Sweetest Thing I thought The Sweetest Thing was unusually over-the-top, a little stupid, impossible, and yet; a really sweet, funny, cute story! I actually enjoyed this film alot! It was a little strange, and not all there so to speak. But it still made me wonder, these girls are so immature, they're near their 30's, and yet; it's hillarious to watch them do such dumb things! A friends wedding... that's not even your friend?! Or even better, doesn't know anything about you other than your name! And yet, you go to the wedding anyway... expecting to hook up with a guy! This is the over the top stuff I'm talking about. Some movies aren't for a good story though. Look at some others that people love: Charlie's Angels, American Pie, Scary Movie etc. Not all movies have THE story, or even a plot that makes tons of sense, but in my book, and on my dvd rack, this has a place with me. The Sweetest Thing - 7.5/10

The Sweetest Thing 2/10 It’s really so difficult for me to write a review about this “thing” that I “witnessed” a couple of days ago. And what I witnessed was supposed to be called a “movie”. Well, maybe I should call it a movie too as it has a director, a producer, a writer and a cast of lovely actors led by the ever-charming Cameron Diaz. Only that Diaz is neither lovely nor charming as Christina, one of the most hideous female characters in recent memory. She might be hot; she might be sexy (and she is, actually) BUT she couldn’t help this disaster from being anything rather than, erm, a disaster. So, what is it all about? It’s about three girls, played by Diaz, Selma Blair and Christina Applegate, who are playful and bouncing from one man to another seeking the fun of the moment. The film starts when Jane (Blair) breaks up with some guy and is so depressed. She is taken by Christina and Courtney (Applegate) to some bar to cheer her up. Christina wants to hook a guy for Jane so she grabs a young man’s ass...

Am i the only person who thought this movie was good. It was halirious especially the toilet scene and the wedding. Although after the wedding it went a little bit downhill it still delivers the comedy moments for example the peircing and the outtakes when the credits are rolling. The only bit i think that spoils this movie is the dancing about in the cafe because that would just never happen and the movie mantage scene with the chessy music which by the way i hate. But overrall it was a great movie 9/10 and i would recommened it to any comedy fans.

The Sweetest Thing...8/10 Bull's Eye Wow, as I read the American reviews, and compare them to the Dutch ones (I live in Holland), I have to say; is it our stupid sense of humor? Or is it your hatred towards the romantic comedies? In a way I feel stupid, this movie left me right next to my seat, fell off sometime watching it, probably laughing too hard. Especially the scene where Diaz gets a penis in her eye (Oh my god...I think your pregnant ), Blair doing a purple elephant, Blair getting rid of the stain and getting stuck at "the piercing" were some of the most hillarious scenes. The writer of this movie did a great job by giving us something else then the typical "Notting Hill" or "Two Weeks Notice". Missed Target Alright, maybe you're right on a couple of things. So the characters aren't really believable, just like the story. But you have to say, almost every romantic comedy has an unbelievable storyline. And so what the movie is a little "over-the-top"? Well, it i...

The Sweetest Thing - 3/10 Not the sweetest movie. I dunno if it's just a guy thing, since this movie was obviously not intended for guys, or it was just plain bad. Cameron Diaz usually pulls through in her movies, but didn't shine in this one. My biggest complaint the plot was... how can I put this bluntly.... NONEXISTANT! If anything, it was just a compilation of girl talk to reach a corny story line that's been done a trillion times before. When the climax of a story is the lead characters singing "It's too big to put in here" referring to what to say to a man to keep him, it's time to kick this DVD out and call it a night. It was a rather funny sequence, but mainly due to all the people in the club singing and dancing to the song (including a rather amusing old lady dancing). I don't even remember the other so-called humor here, which says a lot... and Christina Applegate (one of whom made me in a good spot about watching this movie) was barely even recognizable! It just sucked! I will give a me...

Okay, I have to admit. I loved this film. Yes, it was gross, lazy and plain stupid, but hey! we all need to have fun sometimes! I haven't laughed so much in ages. The group I was watching it with just sat there going "That's not funny", but there I was, rolling on the floor. I also liked the fact that it was the women's turn to do all the gross-out humour that we've seen so much of in American Pie, etc. Okay, it's not as well put together as American Pie, nor as well acted, but it's a fun flick to sit down with, with your mates. BUT NOT ONE TO WATCH WITH YOUR PARENTS! I'm not ashamed to say I liked this movie. It was great for what it was, just another LOL movie with almost-over-the-border humour. Also, I think the Penis Song just made the movie. LMAO!

This movie was just awful. I went to see it because it was my husband's turn to pick out the movie. What a mistake. The only funny scene was the one in the ladies room where men get to see what women do in the ladies room. I didn't even think the "Monica Lewinksy's dress" scene was funny. The characters in this movie were not likeable at all. Nobody did a decent acting job (ok, Jason Bateman wasn't bad--I didn't even know it was him til I saw the credits). Cameron should have kept her clothes on. What's with her and that gut? This was nothing more than a gross out movie that tried to copy male gross out movies and didn't work. I want my money back.

It seems like Cameron Diaz was learning to act (Vanilla Sky), but then drops back into playing herself in this mediocre flick. I saw it with a friend & though we are both female, didn't connect. Let's face it (sorry, guys) this is a HUGE exaggeration on how women talk about sex. I have tons of girlfriends & the bathroom scene, we can relate to the honosty in that, but all the penis stuff? Just plain gross. The dry cleanoing scene was funny & as a field medical worker, I can relate to the house full of strangers when compromising medical attention is needed. That was funny. For a brainless laugh, sure, why not? If you are old enough to get it. My teen daughter wanted to see it & I said, no way, waste of money. There was no chemistry between the men & women in this, but Christina Applegate & Diaz made cute girl pals. 5/10

Last night, I attended the premiere of The Sweetest Thing. Finally, a gross-out buddy flick that revolves around women instead of objectifying them. I'm not declaring this a monumental leap of feminist propoganda--just saying that it's a smart idea. That said, I highly recommend it; I was cracking up the whole time. Cameron Diaz, as Christina, Christina Applegate as Courtney, and Selma Blair, as Jane, play their typecasted, blockbuster performances. Of course, there are the requisite dancing around in underwear scenes (about 8 at last count), but serious props go to Selma Blair for her preppy-girl-turned-slut after a bad breakup. While I can't say much for the writing, the schticks are hilarious. How many other movies have you seen where, taking cues from Ben Stiller's fly-incident in Cameron D's There's Something About Mary, Selma gets stuck in an, um, orally compromising position? Or has gratuitous sex with a man in a cuddly costume? And the dry cleaner scene--there is nothing like it. Thomas Jane, as Pete...
