I thought this was a thread dedicated to the Clint Howard cult classic... Then I thought, "Wait a second...they couldn't have made two more of those movies..." I had no idea that Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were referred to as "The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy." Interesting. I loved Shaun of the Dead, I'd rank it among my top 5 of favorite horror films. While I liked Hot Fuzz, it wasn't anywhere near as hilarious as Shaun, but it's funny nonetheless, and I love the Wright/Pegg/Frost trio. Spaced is incredible, too. I'm so relieved that "McSpaced" was stopped. That whole debacle was the last straw between McG and I (though Charlies Angels should've been...but I'm a man with needs, and I need hot women and wire-fu). The man didn't even have the decency to talk to Edgar and Simon about the project...

Yes, Conz, so bold I found the "What's the matter? Never taken a shortcut before?!" reprisal especially hilarious. How did I not mention Timothy Dalton? Hmm?

bold statement ahead these 2 movies, have the best replay value of any movies....ive ever seen. and im serious. They are easily in my top 10 of all time, both of em. These guys' humor is perfect to me. Spaced is brilliant too, cant wait for the dvd in a couple of weeks. There are so many subtle jokes, and i love the way they copy lines constantly throughout the movies. You pretty much have to see them both 10 times to appreciate the movies fully.

Ha! I heard the title for From Dusk 'Til Shaun before. It's glorious. But you know... If you're thinking of watching that movie, don't!. Yeah I had to before someone beat me to it.

Loved Hot Fuzz, enjoyed Shaun of the Dead. When I first saw Hot Fuzz at a free screening, the two stars and director were there and they took a question about the rumored sequel to Shaun of the Dead. They denied any plans for it, but they gave an awesome name for it: "From Dusk til Shaun." Now I want them to do it.

I figured with the impending Disaster Movie there should be more talk of grand RECENT comedy. (And I'm sure even the lot of you who don't like Wright/Pegg/Frost and their work would rather watch their movies than Friedberg and Seltzer's. But I've been wrong before.) And I know the trilogy isn't complete. But I didn't know what else to call the thread. Big whoop. I hooked up my DVD player finally (to my lovely old Sanyo.) And I . popped in Hot Fuzz for the umpteenth and first time. Still laughed my ass off. I'm about to watch Shaun of the Dead for the umpteenth and first time. It amuses me as well. Their third one is slated to be "The World's End". I hear it's about lizards, conspiracies, and lizard conspiracies for world domination. If that's true, I'm sold.
