Despite the negative points of the film it was fun and i was never bored 7/10 | | Static Link |

I may despise it, but I don't think I'll lower my rating any more than that, and I especially wouldn't change my rating so drastically. | | Static Link |

The only half-way decent part of it was the cinematography, which was actually quite good. The acting, story, plot, dialogue and every other aspect of the film was terrible. A surfer chick and an NFL player just *happen* to hit it off...she just *happens* to overhear a conversation and misunderstand who he's talking to...it just *happens* to end with a big competition that'll define our protagonists life? Gimme a break. I want a real sports flick. 3/10 | | Static Link |

The problem with Blue Crush was that most of the characters didn't really have a purpose except for Bosworth's, and they didn't really get us to know them well. Despite this, I thought Blue Crush was an enjoyable movie, with excellent cinematography and some funny bits along the way. 7/10 | | Static Link |

Well, as I said before I really enjoyed it. And that's a good start. The movie did have a little bit of a problem - the relationship. It seemed a bit of a waste of time to me personally. What did it bring to the story as a whole? I would've liked more focus on the surfing and relationship between the two sisters. And what was up with the scene where the three girls tried on all the clothes in the hotel room? That was pretty random... Mika Boorem and Kate Bosworth are really hot and both excellent actresses. Kate Bosworth is one of the best newcomers of the year, and Mika Boorem shows you how much one small role (RIDING IN CARS WITH BOYS or ALONG CAME A SPIDER) can really propell you into full stardom. I also loved the waves and the surfing in the movies, 3 letters, 1 syllable - WOW. They were just such amazing waves and the cinematography was brilliant, which continuous how the frickin hell in Gods name did they do that shots. I really liked this movi... | | Read Entire Entry |

I don't care how bad the negative reviews are on this film (so far I aint seen one) because I'm watching this no matter what. And hopefully I'll love it, even though I aint expecting much - no oscar worthy stuff just fun times on the waves and Michelle Rodriguez | | Static Link |

It was very entertaining and had some of the years best cinematography. I was in awe of the incredible surfing sequences. We are taken right into the waves and feel as if we are actually there. The surfing scenes couldn't get more perfect. Now the thing I've heard most complain about is the plot in between the amazing surfing scenes. And you know what? It really was not as bad as everyone was saying, in fact, I didn't think it was bad at all. I'll admit it was a little loose, but that's because the movie isn't really about the plot. It was less talk and more action and that was great, it doesn't give the viewer a chance to be bored. I thought they did a really good job with the actual story that was there. I never once found the dialogue snicker worthy. Sure it's not Oscar material, but I have heard some really bad dialogue in teen flicks (She's All That, Summer Catch) and the dialogue in this movie doesn't compare. I also liked the romance. It wasn't tha... | | Read Entire Entry |
