Also, come on: People are suggesting he watch Memento, Requiem, Pulp Fiction, Shawshank, etc...and accusing him of being unoriginal? At least his list wasn't entirely predictable (and whether he's real or not doesn't change the fact that he was greeted pretty poorly on here). | | Static Link |

The guy's not responding to anything, check his other 2 posts dude, he just seems to be promoting his grad school from Asia....people don't just come on here and say "Hi these are some beautiful movies I've seen and I graduated from this school [link] and I'd like to meet people" You don't find that a little odd? He should have the common courtesy to actually respond in his own threads, if he didn't want to talk then why join in the first place? And I'd really love luvimin to respond to this post and not bigred... PS: Addicted2Bayhem was at least fun to read and entertaining, like Max Cady | | Static Link |

http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118788 Yeah, its interesting to see this guy post his favorite movies and not responding to the comments. I would love to discuss why he chose some of these, if indeed he was being serious. But I'm just saying he should respond to some of these comments. Otherwise what's the point, if you aren't going to discuss it? I see that this isn't the case many of the times on this site, but seems to happen a lot. Take this thread for example

You are right there is nothing wrong with liking blockbusters, but there is something wrong with liking them in exclusion of everything else or only like blockbusters. I like a vast variety of films, I like Blockbusters but its not those type of films that move me or stay with me. Its films like Memento, requiem for a dream, American Beauty, Rebecca, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Rear Window, The Treasure of the Sierre Madre, the Empire Strikes Back, Pulp Fiction, LA Confidential, and Shawshank Redemption that stick with me through all the years | | Static Link |

People like you and me have completely opposite views on what a beautiful movie is. Best of luck to you. I should say Lord of the Rings is my favorite from that list of yours though, great films. | | Static Link |

Which would be the way to go, if you're only interested in the box office. Actually I'm amazed that you're from Asia and don't have any Asian films listed. No Takashi Miike, or Chan-wook Park? Sacrilege. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: sirdizzy at March 2, 2008, 2:36 pm | | Topic: List of My Favorite Movies Forum: JoBlo | | My question would be do you see anything not so main stream or blockbusterish. Go rent Memento and Requiem for a Dream and do it now. Come back afterwords and I'll get you a few more movies to watch that our better than those films you listed (and don't get me wrong I like or love a lot of those movies too but they aren't the best movies ever made despite the fact that everyone bloody seems to list them). | | Static Link |

I would just list few.... :cool Pirates of the Carribean- at world's end Lord of the Ring movies Harry Potter movies Die Hard 4 Saving Private Ryan Sweet Home Alabama James Bond movies ...and many more! :Hello: | | Static Link |
