huh, when i sat down to watch Highwaymen i really didnt expect anything good, i was very very surprised with how much i loved this film. firstly the performances are all pretty damn good, luckily there arent many supporting cast members so there werent that many poor acting skills in that area. i loved how the film looked, it was also very well edited and the action scenes looked great, i loved when it went into slow motion in a couple of places and different shots kinda melded together. i also really liked the films score which was subtle but very effective and added another layer to some scenes especially toward the end. the action scenes were also well done and although i questioned a couple of occurances involving the cars it was all very energetic and kept me thoroughly entertained throughout the short running time....the only thing i could have said would improve it was if it was a little bit longer..... still I found Highwaymen to be a very enjoyable thriller that rose above most of the crap in recent...

A very flawed movie but a fairly decent movie. For a movie callled Highwaymen, there is a suprising lack of car chases. Suprisingly, despite the movie clocking in at a very skimpy 80 minutes, the movie doesn't feel rushed. But the movie was still too short and as such, the characters and situations could have been developed more. Jim Caviezel, Rhona Mitra and Frankie Faison are all solid but the real star of the movie is Colm Feore who is great as the driver/killer. So this movie could have been and should have been better. But it's still a reasonably entertaining and well paced thriller. 6/10 Grade: B-

If you haven't heard much about Robert "Director Of The Hitcher" Harman's latest flick Highwaymen, there's a good reason why -- It got screwed over by New Line. It was dumped into 111 theaters with basically no advertising and now that it's on DVD...it's still getting screwed over. It just came out last Tuesday and it's already going to be on TV this Friday...stop the madness New Line! Anyway, on with the movie... Highwaymen is about Jesus aka James Caviezel aka The Son Of God, tracking down the man who killed his wife 5 years ago by running her over with his '72 Cadillac El Dorodo. Now this is where the plotholes begin...**Spoilers**... *After his wife gets run over, he jumps into his car and gets his revenge right then and there by crashing into the Caddy, shattering the other man's body. It's said later on that it took 18 months to rebuild his body and one day he was gone. Why wasn't this guy being guarded? He was a murderer and all...and how far could he have gotten? It's not like he was in tip...
