I think it could be fun if it's R. Usually these type of horror movies are just bad in general but, for me, over the top gore and unneeded nudity make the movie at least a bit enjoyable. That is why I hate the pg-13 trend going on with horror movies.

I remember this getting great reviews and its trailer is great. I simply don't understand why its being completely dumped. Its rare that we get a horror film that not only takes place on Halloween but seems to celebrate it as well. I really wanted to see this.

I was replying to your "fails to capture the feel of Halloween" comment but I totally get what you're saying. Even though I love the Saw series, why not release a film actually about halloween on Halloween? Warner Bros. are dumbshits for dropping this. Both BD and Fangoria gave this glowing reviews and I gurantee us horror nuts would've ate it up with a spoon.

I know that Saw has nothing to do with holiday of Halloween, but I only compare it with Trick R Treat because the Saw films are always released around that time and the studios know that film goers will want to see something creepy. When was the last time you even remember a film being released around Halloween that had something to do with the actual holiday? There was even a positive early review of the film last year by Bloody Disgusting I think...it was called an instant cult classic.

I still can't believe Warner Bros. dumped this. It just proves that sometimes studios don't know what the fuck they're doing. Warner is better than Dimension though.

Oh someguy I love you so much. You put me in my place. Athough I don't remember saying some of those things...But you tend to forget things when you're wasted. I'm sorry to all I insulted. Everyone have a good day! On a Trick R Treat related note, Lionsgate should release this.

My opinion has more to do with the recent trend of "horror" movies that want to target a wider audience by going PG-13. Got ya But I consider Jaws suspense horror. It was horrifying IMO.

This was a movie I was really excited to see last year. The trailer looked amazing, and it had that holiday feel that most holiday movies are lacking these days. The early reviews were mostly positive. I don't get why Warner Bros. did not release this movie. It looked like a hit movie that could of generated a lot of money for them.

Looking on imdb, the guy wrote the first two movies you mentioned, and had nothing to do with the last two. According to the same site, the movie won't be released until 2009.

I don't know about anyone else on here, but I thought the trailer for Trick R Treat looked awesome and I was really looking forward to seeing it in the fall of 07. However, for some odd reason Warner Brothers dropped the film and it's been floating around waiting for a distributor ever since. Does anyone know if it'll be released this fall? What the hell is going on with this movie? It'll be a shame if it never sees a release...
