The last straw was practically the opening scene to the movie. I'm not saying Levy would have ended up enjoying the movie, but what he's referencing happens less than five minutes from its start. I think everyone I saw it with stayed in there seats. There were at least 80 people in the audience and some even stood and applauded when it was done. This was in Boise Idaho of all places.

Boll holds free screening of Postal. 75% walk out. http://www.nj.com/hudsoncountynow/in..._postal_p.html Quote: Audience walks during 'Postal' screening by Carly Baldwin Sunday June 01, 2008, 8:55 PM HOBOKEN -- About 200 people were present Friday night at the start of the free screening of Uwe Boll's "Postal" at Pier A Park, but three-quarters walked away long before the closing credits. Mat Levy -- who had his 15 minutes of fame as "Cheezy" on season two of VH1's celebrity dating show "I Love New York" -- was one of those who found the movie in bad taste. The last straw for Levy was a scene in which two terrorists hijack a plane in a 9/11-style attack, but then decide to abandon the suicide mission and fly to the Bahamas instead -- only to wind up crashing into a building after the passengers storm the cockpit. Mayor David Roberts, citing the same scene, refused to attend Friday night's premiere. "I did not like Uwe Boll's perception of 9/11," Levy said. "It's ...

Such a disappointment , now the theaters are the arbiters of good taste and morality , i thought that was my job . Come on , i genuinely wanted to see just how bad it was going to bomb , now we don't even get the chance because the theater owners all of a sudden found a conscience . I'm still not sure i want to see this film , but i don't particularly like censorship of this type , what is this , the late 70s early 80s when certain horror movies were only shown in cheap , rundown theaters because the cinema operators were afraid to offend anyone . This amounts to a boycott , and what gets me is that these same theaters are more than willing to show the latest exploitation flick with torture and extreme violence but they won't show this , that's where the hypocrisy comes in .

As much as I hate it when vendors don't show films because they are not profitable, I have to agree with them here, there is no gamble of whether it could be a suprise hit or not this movie will tank.

all the politics stuff aside, theaters dont want this movie because it's fucking summer and this would be a huge waste of a screen. If a theater held onto maid of honor, forgetting sarah marshall, nims island, or even a second print of speed racer they would make more money with that then they would with postal.
Boll's film's bomb hard, the gig is up. In the name of the king was released in a little over 1000 theaters and it bombed in JANUARY! Now its fucking MAY and opening weekend of Jones. This movie might have been booked in 500 theaters if it was september, no chance now.

Hmm , the poster made something click , yes , Boll is probably one of the most untalented hacks pulling a paycheck in moviedom , but with regards to the content , how come it's okay to be politically incorrect , outrageous , and irreverent if it's a cartoon , but not if it's live action ? I have no interest in seeing this , but i'm smelling some hypocrisy and inconsistencies with the theaters decision not to carry the film .

Oh Uwe Boll...his movies are such shit but I love watching them. They're so terrible it's hard not to be entertained. Too bad Postal isn't getting a wide release. I'm sure the DVD will be released soon enough. Since were on the topic of Boll, In The Name of the King has ninjas. Ninjas. And orc-ish creatures being launched from catapults. On fire.

Too bad the movies getting censored, it really is. I've never seen any of Boll's previous efforts and I'm sure they're every bit as terrible as has been said, but this may be his first film many people would enjoy. Oh well. Hardly worth ranting about I guess.

Making a joke out of the 911 tower tragedy didn't bother me. The way I see it I watch movies that make light of death all the time. I laughed my ass off when Marvin got shot in the face in Pulp Fiction, but people get killed by fire arms going off accidentally every day. Still though, pretty funny when it happened to Marvin. Am I wrong.....is it too early to get a laugh? We can't make Terrorists jokes? Kumar being a Terrorist to the old white women in H&K2 was funny. Are you just so injected with white guilt you can't see that? POSTAL attacks all that which is sacred. You've been warned.
