I was shocked at their list, I liked a lot of the movies that they considered to be the "worst" of 2002, especially The Rules Of Attraction, which is my favorite movie of 2002 so far.

I enjoyed Shoot'em Up for what it was, but Transformers was one of the WORST movies of 2007. This is after I actually tolerated The Island, much to my surprise. I was thinking "Hey, I will go in for some C+ brainless fun that will inject some nostalgia into the 5 year old boy inside me that loves Transformers." I'm such a fool. As much as I would like to say one of the worst movies of the year was also Spider-man 3, it was just The Biggest Disappointment of 2007, and a pretty shitty movie overall. But worst of the year? Not quite. Just about, but not quite. So it fails to be a GOOD movie, but also fails to be the very worst.
It can't accomplish anything right!

It was a major flop. With a budget of $25 million, it only earned $3,591,980. It was nominated for six Golden Raspberry Awards including, Worst Picture, Worst Actress (Kristanna Loken), Worst Supporting Actor (Ben Kingsley), Worst Supporting Actress (Michelle Rodriguez), Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay.

In a thread about the worst movies you own, I had listed, among others, Death to Smoochy, which I own because, as an Edward Norton fan, I must own every movie he's in. Well, a fellow schmoe took exception to my listing it as one of the worst I own and demanded that I explain myself. It forced me to reconsider the movie. I still think it's bad. However, Norton did create a very funny and lovable character completely unique to him. And when I do occassionally watch it, I still laugh and giggle at certain things - the cookies, the American History X referrence, among many others little things. So maybe it's not one of the worst movies I own after all.

Mel Gibson's worst movie. Not just his worst directorial effort but his worst period. Boring and ugly looking. Gibson is usually a fantastic director that's why I was really surprised by how poorly directed some of the movie is. For instance, the choreography of the initial raid in the begining was just horribly done. One of 2006's most disappointing movies and I actually think the movie is actually overrated. 4/10

The funny thing about the Prom Night remake is I actually liked it during the non chase/scare scenes but whenever one of the characters were being chased/killed, it was so ineptly directed and executed that it was just laughably bad. The Ruins is definitely my favorite horror flick of the year so far although I actually liked The Eye as well. And I don't know if Cloverfield is considered horror but I liked that too. Not sure if [REC] is considered to be this year or last year but that was pretty good too. The Strangers on the otherhand is one of the worst movies of the year, let alone one of the worst horror movies. It's not the worst horror movie though. One Missed Call was even worse. There are times when Shutter comes close to matching these two movies in pure awfulness. Not quite, but it does come close at times.

First off, please be careful what you call "WORST MOVIE EVER". Granted "Jason takes Manhatten" is NOT A GOOD MOVIE. I'm not even a big fan of the Friday movies but NO Friday the 13th movie CAN be the worst movie ever. There is a always a certain amount of work put into these movies. They are a popular mainstream horror series and the people who stand behind these movies want to make MONEY. So you can bet that there is always a granted volume of thought and work behind them. Admit it, the New-York Scenes are cool and well done. The Jason-Flashback was cool and well done, even if it didn't make any sense. Some of the murder scenes were good too. The opening on the Boat was not bad either. So HOW can this be the worst movie ever? Did you see EVERY horror movie in history to judge what the worst movie ever is? YES, Jason takes Manhatten is a fucking bad movie, just like a zillion others out there, no more, no less. But WORST EVER? Here are some movies that make JTM a masterpiece, just because...

I mean, he was a whacky visionary with very little talent, but who can deny the entertainment value of Plan Nine From Outer Space or Glen Or Glenda. Now, Doris Wishman, there's a candidate for worst director ever. John Harkness I like Wishman more than Ed Wood. Aside from Glen or Glenda I usually get bored watching Wood movies but Wishman's reasonably succesful in hitting her exploitation marks. But choosing a "worst" director is pointless. Most anyone with any taste in movies would rather watch a Wishman or Wood movie than something by Stephen Sommers or Simon West but it's usually Wood and Wishman that end up on the all-time worst lists.

Best of coarse was Jurassic Park and in particular that moment in the jeep with the T-Rex and the flashlight and the eye. And while I haven't seen Never Back Down but it doesn't look like it's so bad that it's the worst of the year. The Insider - 1/10. This movie was horrific! (no, not terrific, it's not a typo or something).. It was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Even for a slow-moving drama! If I had seen this movie in theaters I would have had to take a bottle of caffeine pills. I tried and tried to watch it, but couldn't pull it off after 3 attempts. Maybe I just hate Russell Crow, or just slow-moving movies. But damn, what a piece of shit! The characters were poorly developed, the plot was uninteresting, and it was doo damn long. I wouldn't recommend this movie to my worst enemy's dog!
