Forum: JoBlo | | Here's the bottom line everybody, "Jumper" had it's flaws but it's biggest strength was Jamie "Badass" Bell! I think those who have seen it will agree with me that he made that movie when he was introduced. Everything was kinda slow until he popped up and the movie just got better from there. As well, Samuel L. Jackson was so badass and the action was pretty wicked. SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! So i was pleased to find myself so amused by the first half of Hancock. Smith does an excellent job as the "anti-hero Hancock. Jason Bateman also did well as his P.R rep As for the second half when the "big twist" is revealed which i didnt have a problem with, and it actually leads to some very amusing scenes. But so much is just touched upon after the revelation that could have made the movie more interesting, and packed more of a emotional punch, its frustrating because you see how Hancock could have been great instead of good.I wanted to know more about Hancocks past.So much was passed over. Plus i found the villain to be lame.I will get to that in a spoiler below In the end i was entertained and i laughed out loud quite a few times but Hancock could have been so much more Scale of 1-10 a 7 SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER It would have been so much bet... | | Read Entire Entry |

Sure doesn't. I like the, "ya' think it's going to end but doesn't", touch. But then again, I like movies to END! END OF SORT OF SPOILER! REAL SPOILER DOWN BELOW: Love the scene where the mother is flashing back saying : "I saw her face", and it shows the girl in the closet. My favorite scene. END O' SPOILER: All in all, The Ring is an enjoyable film. And really scary. Not as good as Signs. But, better than some other stuff this year. I loved this movie until the damned ending! I think the Coen brothers were trying to be too clever, and left me feeling cheated. I mean, if Josh Brolin did die, why didn't they show his face in the morgue? Because they didn't show his face, i thought maybe he was faking his own death. And then, when "Sugar" was with Josh's wife, they didn't show him kill her, i assume he did, but we don't know for sure, yeah, he wiped his shoe off as he left the house, so that means he killed her? Tommy Lee Jones is great, but to end the movie with his description of his dream, while we (the audience) are wondering: did Josh Brolin get away? Did Sugar kill the wife? Why not show it, or give us a better idea of what happened? This movie was great until the last 5 minutes, and now it is only a fair movie. blakesq | | Static Link |
