Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone-5/10 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets -7/10 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban-8/10 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire-9/10 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix-9/10 Even though I liked seeing a different director (almost) each time applying their style to the series I can't say I hate David Yates doing the last set of films. I thought he did an excellent job with Order of Phoenix.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 6/10 or ***/***** stars Much like the first two Harry Potter installments directed by Chris Columbus, David Yates' Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a real chore to sit through at times and leaves the viewer waiting for something exciting to happen. What saves this fifth and latest installment from being the weakest film in the series is the following: (1) Imelda Staunton's first-rate performance as Dolores Umbridge, a loathsome teacher who makes Harry Potter's life a living hell. (2) The film's unrelentingly dark and serious atmosphere. (3) A wildly entertaining, eye-popping climax. After Alfonso Cuaron's terrific Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Mike Newell's solid Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a flat-out disappointment. Hopefully, the second time will be the charm for Yates once he begins filming the sixth film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Strider

and one last thing im saying harry potter is lowering its business like many other movies in the top 10 does the 50 cent movie aim at harry potter fans nope yet it fell 70% and im sure the urban crowd went to see it a movie doesnt just get the crowd it wants it sometimes gets other groups as well that it wasnt aiming for and it prob got the P&P crowd. Harry potter doesnt aim for the jarhead crowd nope yet look at its drop. Every movie in the top 10 besides walk the line was effected by harry potter majorly.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone 9/10 I have read every Harry Potter novel. They are all fantastic. If you read the novels you'd see how J.K. Rowling pulls you into the story. Harry Potter has finally made its presence to the big screen and boy does it sure make a bug impression Premise: Harry lives with his aunt and uncle who treat him bad. His fat cousin is a pain in the ass. One day Hagrid gives Harry a letter that tells him he's been invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There Harry makes friend with Ron and Hermoine. He makes enemies with Malfoy. Harry and his friends discover a case that could lead to something big. I loved this movie. It was a perfect adaption of the novel. The Quidditch scenes were perfect eye candy. Daniel Radcliffe really does look like and act like Harry. I liked Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid. Most of the funny scenes come from him. The rest of the cast is great. The Special Effects were sharp and crisp. The sites are amazing to behold. I reccomend this film. Har...

I completely agree with you two. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is amazing. Everything was perfect, I can't think of a thing wrong with it. I'm not going to write a review because I basically just summed up a review with those two sentences. I can't wait for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, that movie is going to kick some serious ass, it's the best Potter book by far!

Appropriate since unlike LOTR it was written more for young readers, much like Harry Potter. Maybe the first two Harry Potter books. The rest blow the Hobbit out of the water.

What are you talking about man? Why do you keep comparing P&P to Harry Potter? That makes no sense whatsoever. First of all, they are not playing in the same theaters. P&P is playing in art house and indie theaters while Harry Potter is playing in multiplexes. Second, they aren't going after the same audience. Third, you can't compare the drops of a movie in limited release to the drops of wide release movies. It's not the same. P&P's box office has nothing to do with Harry Potter's. It isn't competing with Harry Potter. For a movie in limited release, a 35% drop from Friday to Friday is not very good.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 9/10 Probably the most "stand-out" of the Potter series, this one is so different from the others in terms of direction, style, and writing (though of course the new director and screenwriter can explain that). The whole movie felt rushed to hell, but I still enjoyed it and was compelled the whole way through. And if this wasn't a Potter movie, I'd even go as far to say Imelda Staunton deserved a oscar nom....but like I said...It's a Harry Potter movie (and I'm pulling for Ellen Page in An American Crime anyway so the less competition the better!) Not my favorite of the series, but definitely the most different, and very, very good. And did anyone else immediately look for the soundtrack after seeing the movie? Some of the tracks were brilliant.

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, the books are incredible and I still own and love all of the films, even though the first two are awful in my opinion. I know they're kids and they're not supposed to be the best actors but I mean, DAMN.. those kids can't act at all. They got a lot better with Gary Oldman's addition to the third, and the incredible casting that keeps coming. Jason Issacs, Helena Bonham Carter, Brendan Gleeson, Gary Oldman.. all amazing additions to these movies. I saw the last one in IMAX and for the first time loved a Harry Potter movie for a reason other then just the name. Great movie in my opinion, and this one looks to be even better.. it was my favorite book of the series. Harry Potter is the shit

I am fucking siked for The Half-Blood Prince. It's possibly my favorite of the books (although The Deathly Hollows was pretty fucking awesome). Here's how I rank the movies. 1. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets- Insanely faithful to the novel, extremely dark, and very intense. Chris Columbus knocked this one out of the park and took arguably the weakest novel in the series, and really made it something special. 9/10 2. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix- Although not as faithful to the book as I would have liked, it still is a great film. The acting has matured much to this point, and the quality of action is increasing. 8/10 3. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire- Considering how great the novel was, it had a lot to live up to, and it almost made it there. There were a few big things that they left out from the novel though, which is why it isn't closer to the top of the list. Still an extremely entertaining, well-made and great film. 8/10 4. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban- Yes, it's ...

Im I the only one who thinks theses films are so overhyped and boring that its getting really old. The movies get really repetitve. How much of the same thing can you watch. That weasly guy is so annoying I can gag myself. The films are melodramatic also. And wtf!!! Get to the story all ready! In the first one you didnt know anything about the socerors stone until the last fucking 30 mins of the movie. The fist hour in a half of all these movie are stupid bantering and pointless scenes that dont give anything to the plot. I dont dont know maybe Im the only asshole who doesnt like Harry Potter. (GASP!!!! Oh My God! H-he doesnt like ?Harry Potter! What wrong with him!) Go ahead cast me into the firy brimstone of hell because I dont like Harry Potter. Sorry if I sound like a total dick.
