It's hands down my favorite movie of all times, which these days is an unoriginal choice. This movie is probably an eleven on a scale of 1-10 (10 being best). It more than succeeds because of the great story, and dialogue, and acting, and ending! For once we have an ending that lives up to the rest of this wonderful movie. Because I hate those so-so movies with great endings. I'd rather a movie be great before the great ending if you know what I mean. | | Static Link |

I thought this was a good movie. The acting was great, the CGI was great IMO, and just everything about it was great. The only problem I had with this movie was the end, it was just way to abrupt and to much of a cliffhanger for me. Other than that, it was a great movie that I will enjoy watching again. I just loved this movie, saw it three times in theatres, and enjoyed every moment. Awesome Quidditch match, spider scene, and brilliant adaptation of the least good novel of the series. I think the movie did a much better job than the book. The art direction-set decoration, CGI and supporting performances were Oscar-worthy. Great great movie. #2 on my top 10 of 2002. 10/10 | | Static Link |

But the most fun was the gameplay, I really wasn't invested in the story 'till the second one, which made Payne a lot more likable, and let's be honest... Manly. I think Wahlberg can bring to the screen a desperation and hopelessness that The Punisher couldn't which hopefully will make this movie great. I'm really hoping this movie turns out to what it could be. Not that the games were THAT great story wise, but I think with a little tweaking the story could become great and the movie could be a great success. | | Static Link |

I love Tim Burton and this movie has everything I like about his movies -- a little blood, great acting, no million-dollar worth explosions, great directing, and the looks of some kind of twisted fairy tale. Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci are simply great (and God knows I wasn't their biggest fans before seein' this movie), and it's really an entertaining flick. 8.5/10 | | Static Link |

This movie was great, it had a great story and although I could have used a change of scenery it was a hell of a lot better then I thought it was going to be! From what I heard, Fincher doesn't dissappoint, what will his next film be? Anyways, great performances, great storyline, unfortunately i think they could have got a wider audience if they lessened the profanity a little bit and made it a pg 13 rating, but a great movie, and an 8/10! | | Static Link |

American Beauty is definitely one of the most overrated movies of all times. There was just something missing in this movie, I don`t know what.Like when you buy something and the package outside is great but in the inside it`s empty.
I wanted this movie be great before I saw it because I knew it was going to take the Oscar for best picture, but I was, ok , not disappointed but ...I can`t explain it.Anyway, the movie had its positive features also- great performances, the new talent of the year-Wes Bentley, that great scene with the paper bag...
As a whole however, nothing special for me - 6.3/10. | | Static Link |

My favorite movie. The 2nd best movie of the 90's. One of the best movies ever made. This movie is just sheer brilliance. The acting is dead on, including many of the supporting actors (The Boss, Bob, Angel Face). The plot is great, and filled with countless of little details that make the movie the gem that it is. The humor is GREAT, and the direction is absolutely amazing. Furthermore, the movie actually speaks to you as opposed to just being a great movie that you can't relate to. 10/10, and my favorite movie. | | Static Link |

The acting was right on with some of the characters being outright hilarious (the Russian guy comes to mind) and some characters being serious and all playing their parts with at least some believability. The special effects were awesome (loved the scene where Paris got nuked by a meteor, that was f**king great! ). The story was great and even though I've already scene this movie twice, th suspenseful scenes are stilll suspenseful. In fact, this is I think the only movie I have ever ALMOST cried in and this movie deserves a 10/10 just for dong that alone. An absolutely great movie! And I wasn't expecting it to be this quirky, but I ended up really enjoying this movie. I liked how so many of the jokes were subtle, but there were also a few laugh-out-loud jokes. I also enjoyed the sets, designs, camera angles, colors, and just how the movie looked. It really interested and intrigued me. But I think the main part of this movie has to do with the characters. Great, great, great characterization. All these mix-matched, odd-looking people from the same family worked great. Definitely an enjoyable movie all-around. 7.5/10 | | Static Link |

It looks great, who cares if it's another futuristic movie that takes it look from Blade Runner. It still looks great nonetheless. Infact, it looks better than Blade Runner IMO. The action sequences are exciting and a lot of fun. And the entire cast is fun. Stallone rocks as usual. Rob Schneider actually managed to not be annoying and even has a few funny moments here and there. Diane Lane looks great as usual. Max Von Sydow is great as Dredd's father figure. And Armand Assante gives a great, over the top performance. He has a lot of fun chewing that scenery and it's great fun watching him do so. It's a blast from start to finish. Eight Legged Freaks (9/10) Great movie, but feels just a little tired in the end part, but otherwise great movie with great DVD (esp. the "Larger Than Life" short). 3. Frank Herbert's Dune (Original Cut: 10/10) (Dir. Cut: 8/10) I loved the original version, but this director's cut drags on way too long. The wealth of features on this DVD are good, however. 4. Goldeneye (10/10) A great Bond movie that truly stands out as one of the best! This DVD has a great widescreen transfer, but I noticed one mistake on my copy: it rates this movie as PG! My old VHS has PG-13 on it! Has anyone else notice this? 5. The Mothman Prophecies (8/10) Great mystery movie with a nice twist. The "stylized" scene transitions and the slow spaces can get on one's nerves though. | | Static Link |
