When your going to see a movie for Action, do you really need a strong plot to back it up, i think not. Here is a prime example, when i saw the preview, i new it wasn't going to have a good plot and it looked to have stole some moves from the matrix(my favorite film), but it appealed to me becouse of the action which it seemed to hold. This one was released for the younger crowd it doesn't have all the intense violence like Kiss of the Dragon, but it does kick some major boo-tay. Jet Li is the man, every movie he has done i can pretty much give it a plus just for the action, and he does it once again with this film. What can i say about the acting, once again were talking about an action film, some of the actors lines sucked, but i delt with it becouse i was watching an action movie for the action, i can not stress this enough. If your lookin for a good, solid, not stop action hour and half, check this one out. 7/10

Lots of action packed around a decent story. 3/4 stars for an action movie. This and Shoot'em Up! are my fave action films of the last 5 years. What does that mean?? They need to make better action flicks. 2/4 as a movie in general. Those are two of the best action flicks period. If all you saw in this was the action, than what that means is like most, you weren't looking very closely.

The movie is good, but there are a few flaws. I was going into the movie thinking there would be some more action than there was. All the action you saw in the preview, is all you get in the movie itself. Another thing was scenes seemed to drag on longer than they had to. If you are looking for a good drama, with some action (not much) I recommend Dark Blue. If you are a Kurt Russel fan, I would also check out this movie. I rate 6 out of 10.

T3: RISE OF THE MACHINES - 7/10 (B) Not as good as the second one, but definitely better than the first one and one hell of an action ride. From start to finish this is a non stop action movie. With likable characters, awesome visual effects, really cool action scenes and one of the best endings of the year. Although I was a bit dissapointed about the plot. We only get to know a few things about the story of the Judgment Day, the Terminator and the future. But it was still a very good summer, popcorn action movie that I liked a lot and that I will probably buy or just rent to see it again.

What was it about this film that didn't achieve the total "greatness" that i've been hearing from all those critics? Well... the action from beginning to end wtihout a doubt didn't fail to make me excited. I absolutely adored every action scene in the whole film. It was simply ecstasy based action packed fun. The films was awesome as far as the action was cocerned...not doubt about it. The only problem i had with the film was the contrast from action to non-action scenes. The dialogue bored the living hell out of me. Now if i were to watch it again, maybe it wouldn't seem so bad, but when i went to go and see the film i was in such a mood for an action film that all i wanted to see was an hour and a half of just x-men fighting and blowing things up etc. I was only looking for the switch off your brain and dribble side of the movie that day, i didn't want any intellectual talk from the x-men. Maybe i was so involved with the action, that when it actually did go back to the tame scenes it just didn't...

Personally, I think you hsould know what you are expecting before going into the theater to see this. Jet Li doesn't say much in his films, getting a very good character developement is obviously not what I would go see this movie for, and it wasn't what I wasl ooking for, but there is a lack of it to criticize it generally. I am loking for action, and action is what I found. This film is not meant to be your well written and acted awesome quality movie like Fight Club . It should be looked upon on a basis of action movies. As an action flick I think this movie fullfills the thirst for explosions and crap beating of people. I don't think it's too fair giving this movie a very low score because it was lacking of character development, plot developement, etc.. Sure it's shallow in some aspects, but that should be expected. This movie deserves 8/10 for all the hard work in making this a kickass action film! -G_Fung_Powas

One of the best action movies of the 1980's, Predator has one of the most ugly-ass aliens in movie history. The special effects were excellent for their time, and Arnold Schwarzenegger was great, delievering witty one-liners and kicking ass at the same time. I'm sure if Predator was released today, it would surpass every action movie released in this decade because it has that style and kick that other modern action films don't have. Highly recommended for all action movie buffs. 9/10

8/10 Please keep in mind that this score of eight out of ten is completely relative to the movie as an action/comedy flick - not as an oscar nominee for best screenplay. I went to a screening of this on 7/15 and the audience was packed with anxious Bad Boys fans. I had an absolute blast watching this movie from start to finish. This movie is why I love action flicks. The banter back and forth between the two leads was fast and smooth. The breaks in the action that focused on smith and lawrence's relationship were interesting and humorous enough to hold my interest. The behind-the-action story of ecstasy trafficking was believable (suspension of disbelief slightly present), but the star of this movie - the action - was phenomenal. I found myself shrinking backward into my seat during the close calls in the car chase and impulsively moaning during the action/gore of bodies being blown away. The action was undeniably fast-paced and creative. The jokes, the snappy cop-dialog, and the visuals were all well-receiv...

If they made it into a live action movie.do you think they would change the whole ending about ADAM and so on and make it just a flat out action movie with no religious undertones for the sake off making more money?.

This was a pleasant suprise. I watched this movie expecting a laid back action flick and instead I was presented with something so much better. This movie has everything a good movie should have: *Good Acting (Chemisty was GREAT) *Good Action (Including FX) *Good Script (I would genre this movie Action/Comedy and the story line was entertaining whilst still maintaining some suprises) 9/10, thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Bourne Identity Decent Action Flick! I really liked enjoyed this movie. Great action, great setting, great cast, pretty decent. I didn't really want to see this movie at first, but after I'd seen it I was really pleased I had. This is certainly much better than xXx, which I thought was an over-the-top action bomb. This was just right. I though Franka Potente was great as the leading female, and pretty attractive too. The action scenes were cool (car chase through Paris in mini, down steps!) and much more believable than the average action film. The only disappointment I had was the confusing ending and how it didn't explain what happened in the end too much. The ending was also not as good as it could have been. Overall, a solid 7/10.

When i wathced this first time i really thought "Wow, that is a really good action movie!"
I really enjoyed it and it stayed in my good books. So when it was on sale on dvd a few years later i bought it...how i regreted that buy. How could i have enjoyed this movie.
It was stale action, with JOHN MALKOVICH trying to act hard and with Nic Cage having an AWFUL accent. The only good thing in it was John Cusack, but he unfortunately was not enough to save the movie.
The plot was very basic and dialogue clearly written not just for the action genre, but for the people whol ike action genre's kids!!!
Un-enjoyable movie 2nd time around and i refuse to watch it again.

Superman Returns looked and still looks great--it's just the story and lack of action that derails the movie. Were Singer and Routh to come back, and they got a banging script that actually has ACTION and comic villians like Metallo, Brainiac or Parasite, I would see it. They just need to up the action and take the melodrama down a notch.

I went into this movie expecting just a mindless action flick with some tough guy one liners by Vin Deisel w/ a hot sidekick. That is exactly what I got. This isn't a movie for everyone, and even though there is a lame plot along with giant plot holes, I would say this movie has everything else you could want from a mindless action flick ! Action up the wazoo and Vin being a badass. If you can buy into (don't let it bother you) the whole Russian villians and Cage all of a sudden going from internet sports hero to super spy working for the gov't, then this movie is perfect popcorn flick. I just rented this today expecting a good action movie. What I got was a horrible, disappointing and disgusting action movie where the only saving grace is a passable performance from Johnny Depp, who at least makes SOME parts of the movie entertaining. The violence is crude and even shocking at times, and the movie could be classified as a foriegn film even since more than 75% of the film is spoken in Spanish. Salma Hayek, Eva Mendes, and several other talented actors are wasted in this movie, but that isn't the worst of it. The worst part is that the action scenes are hilariously choreographed and make you laugh rather than glance in awe. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it sure didn't seem like it to me. 4/10 (D+)

I'm not really sure what people want out of a movie called "The Incredible Hulk." The character is all about action as far as the comic books go, and this movie delivers a good amount of action. Yes, they could have had more internal conflict with the Banner character, but after a film where they had WAY TOO MUCH of that, Marvel really had to get back to basics and redefine the character. Spoiler! The pavement pounding and the hand clap stuff? Right out of the comic books and cartoons that they did back in the 80s. This movie isn't going to win any Oscars, but it is an exciting action movie.

This movie really suprised me. After seeing all the bad reveiws and the long runtime i didnt know what to expect, but it came through in the end. The action scenes were constantly moving at a fast and flashy pace. The camera work really fit the movie and the location, but some of the filters and angles could be turned down a shade, it hurts your eyes after a while. Bay is famous for this and if your are a fan, then that is what you would expect. The voilence and gore in this movie are top notch. They dont hold out on the blood and guts. And if swearing is a big issue for you stay away from this movie. Although it does kinda fit in some parts are overdone. The car chases, gun fights, and explosions are what keep this movie really going. Because of the long runtime, there might be more action in this movie than any other movie. If this wasn't labeled as an action film, I would have liked it a lot better. Frankly, for an action film, it seemed awfully slow to me. Not as much as it's sequel, but it still seemed to move at a lethargic pace, the action scenes weren't that great, and there was no humor, which I think is something that helps action flicks a lot. 5/10

I did want more ass kicking though, and less raph being the outcast, yet again. i dunno if i would to the live action thing, it would kinda ruin the action scenes for me and it sounds a bit stupid. How completely insane was that scene when Leo and Raph's weapons r slicing through the rain in slow motion? Can't do that in live action, or at least you can't do it well.

Finally I saw this movie. Trying to collect all the John Carpenter movies, sooner or later it was bound to come to this one. Ordering the expensive DVD was a risky move, since I'm fairly broke anyway, I managed to get a few kicks out of this. John Carpenter's directing and Kurt Russell's Jack Burton makes this movie worthwhile. There's not a moment of this movie I didn't enjoy. The pace is fast and action does look good, even after 16 years. You can see that a many movies were influenced by this one(Kung Fu, the swordfight at the end etc.) and basically I didn't expect an intelligent supermovie. I expected an action movie and that's what I got, although it's not really your traditional action movie. Carpenter's score works again perfectly and as I said this is very enjoyable movie. After all, it's all in the reflexes. 10/10

I really liked this movie. It was very entertaining, had a great showing by Russell Crowe, and had some decent action scenes. The action could have been better, but what made the movie was the struggle of Maximus and the setting. Not the best movie ever, but an entertaining one. People may say it didn't deserve as many oscars, but what does that have to do with the actual movie? Oscars shouldn't be the reason you watch a movie for, nor should they be used to criticize a movie. 7/10
