| Jumper - 4/10 or **/***** stars No matter how cool the premise is, if the execution is poor, the film will turn out to be a huge failure. That's exactly the case with Jumper, a terribly written, incomprehensible mess of a sci-fi adventure. Bland acting (with exception of Jamie Bell, a very talented young actor, who plays the only interesting and likable character here), cringe-inducing dialogue, and a wretched opening narration are a few of Jumper's problems. A convoluted story is what hits Jumper the hardest -- everything is explained in such a chaotic and downright lousy manner. Director Doug Liman knows how to make a solid film -- he also directed The Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Swingers -- but Jumper is Liman's first misfire and undeserving of a process known as sequelizing.
