Most reviewers felt the story was lacking and that it was only remembered because of its special effects. Since Im usually not into more "complex" fantasy (meaning elves and witches and goblins and flaming warthogs and everything else), I got into the movie for the sheer sake of simplicity. (Cyclonus) If you didn't like it before, you probably wouldnt like it now.. Also, (Lord Kakaru) if youve become a bigger follower of films in the fantasy genre, you probably wont get into the rather basic plotline of this movie. Unless, of course, a lot of nogstalgic memories exist for you...that always brings a great movie experience with it. Like I said before, its a simple story with a great DVD...if you see a copy at the video rental store, you might want to check out Willow(se). |
