Produced by George Lucas I am not really into the whole fantasy genre, but I got into this flick. My dad (for some reason) bought this DVD on the first day of release and I got the chance to view it for the first time since I was a young'en. Considering that I had no expectations for the movie, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality effort that was put on the DVD. The picture quality came out better than most new movies and the sound was remastered with incredible quality. I didnt expect it, but Willow has become a showcase DVD in our growing collection. The most common complaint against this movie was the almost standard storyline. However the visuals, the incredibly surreal enviornments (one that blew me away was the town of midgets...must have been a pain in the ass to cast), the advanced cinematography, the likable characters, and the great presentation of the DVD were all factors that led me to love this movie. It has comedy, action, and a little bit of story behind it. Warwick Davis and Val Kilmer were perfectly cast for their roles and they did a believable job in portraying their respective characters. If you happen to see this on the shelves, I definitely recommend that you pick it up. Movie 7/10
