Rogers Produced By: Peter and Bobby Farrelly Starring: Chris Klein, Heather Graham, Sally Field, Orlando Jones If you've enjoyed the Farrelly Brothers previous films then there's no reason you won't enjoy "Say It Isn't So." This one was directed by J.B. Rogers and Peter and Bobby Farrelly took on the roles of producers. But I still consider this to be a Farrelly Brothers movie. The whole thing just feels like one of their movies. This movie definately didn't disappoint me, it actually surprised me after reading mostly bad reviews for it. I do have a couple complaints though. First of all, the hick characters in this movie were annoying as hell, not funny, and the sad thing is that I think they were supposed to be funny. I could not stand them, the hick characters were made too stupid and unrealistic. Instead of laughing at them I shook my head in disbelief, they were so dumb. They were very annoying, I can't stress that enough. Second of all, the incest (sister fucker) jokes got old very fast and after awhile were not even remotely funny, they came off as dumb. Actually, after about the first one I was already sick of them. And that could be because none of them were all that clever, they would consist of a stupid hick character calling Gilly (Chris Klein) a "sister fucker" or something really unfunny like that. It was a pretty lame attempt at humor. Another thing that was unfunny was when the hand got stuck up the cows ass. It was supposed to make us laugh but I didn't laugh. Orlando Jones also wasn't all that funny, he made me smile maybe once or twice but he was too stupid to find funny. Was the movie funny at all? Yes, it was. In fact, it started out pretty funny, and then the jokes just got farther and farther apart. At least the ones that worked anyway. There's quite a few lame attempts at humor in between the jokes that actually do work. Altogether though the movie is actually funny. What makes this movie work so well is the romance between Chris Klein and Heather Graham. It had quite a few sweet scenes, and if you've ever been in love with someone (I mean "really" in love with someone) and you can't have them, then you should feel for both of the characters. I know I did. This actually has more serious scenes than funny scenes. Kind of like the Farrelly Brothers movie "Outside Providence." No matter how clueless the characters are in the Farrelly Brothers movies, they are always very likeable and you want them to be happy. That's how I felt with this movie, the two main characters weren't exactly the brightest, but I liked them anyway and I wanted them to be together. "Say It Isn't So" was a fun movie, even with some lame jokes the romance came through for me and made it impossible for me not to like this movie. Chris Klein always seems like he's playing the same characters, he always seems so clueless, he's a very limited actor. But I did feel sorry for his character, I haven't felt that bad for a character since Ben Stiller in "Meet The Parents." Heather Graham did a nice job, she was sexy as ever and I liked her sweet character. All she had to do was smile and I smiled with her. The bottom line is that if you like the Farrelly Brothers other movies then you should enjoy "Say It Isn't So" also. I recommend it!
