This is not a bad thing, actually it's pretty entertaining if you don't compare it to the mighty Craven film. As it is, it's certainly the step child of the Elmstreet series, like HALLOWEEN 3 and FRIDAY 5 are for their franchises. It's neither as over-the-top as 3,4 & 5, nor is it a straight out horror comedy like part 6. I don't count NEW NIGHTMARE into this series so I don't compare it to that. All in all, these series have done way worse (I hate Part 4) but way better too (1,3,5 ), and as a part of the series, this is a rather unique movie and worth a watch for fans of the series. All others should stick to the original or part 3. 6/10 |
