| Legally Blonde was not a great Oscar-caliber movie by any means, it was just purely for entertainment. And on that level, it did very well. I enjoyed this movie very much, it wasn't like your average shitty chick flick. The supporting actors did fine in their roles, but the best part had to be Reese Witherspoon's awesome performance as sorority girl-turned-Harvard Law student. She is a great actress and hopefully we can expect more great things out of her in the future. Her chihuahua was cute as hell too. The movie had plenty of laughs, including the final courtroom scene and the "costume party" scene. This film has been compared to Clueless about 10 million times, and I'd say it's right on par with that. Overall, it's a fun, entertaining, cute, and light-minded comedy which I definitely would recommend. 7/10 |
