| Atonement - 6/10 or ***/***** stars Meh. Other than Dario Marianelli's score and the cinematography, I was left unimpressed and slightly disappointed by Atonement, Joe Wright's bland follow-up to Pride & Prejudice (one of the best films of 2005). The first and final act are fairly good, but the excruciatingly boring middle section, in which James McAvoy's character goes off to war, is where Atonement stumbles.
