| I disagree. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the money I paid, though the popcorn was quite expensive. I generally like the comic-strip look in movies, and this was no exception. It was a FUN mvoie, I thought the directing was perfect (I used to watch the Saturday morning cartoon, though I don't read comic books themselves, I think any Spiderman fan should be happy that this WASN'T a load of tripe. I think everyone involved did a good job of what they did, from Raimi to Maguire to Willem Dafoe. This, in my opinion was one of the better superhero movies I've seen. I found myself caring about Parker while watching this movie, and Bruce Wayne is the only other comic strip guy I've really rooted for. Now, with Blade, The Shadow (totally underrated movie), Dick Tracey (totally unappreciated movie), you just wanna see some visual spectaculars, or maybe some arse getting kicked, but I found the story to be, well, involving. Guilty as charged, sir. |
