| Just watched this film, and I was taken aback by how good it was. To be honest, I expected Some Like it Hot all over again (good film, nothing substantial), but this got me by surprise. Jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine both turn in awesome performances, and the writing is spot on. I hadn't heard dialogue as intelligent as that in a long time. This is one of the greatest films ever made. 9.5/10, new entry into my top 20 |
