Kyle Reese Linda Hamilton (Dante's Peak)- Sarah Conner What I like about this movie is that it's a futuristic movie, but takes place in the present, with event's that could effect the furture. But at the same time it has great visual effects that are ahead of it's time. The movie starts off with two time travilers. They have two very different goals, but the same target. Kyle Reese (Beihn) has been sent back through time to protect Sarah Conner (Hamilton), mother to the leader of the human resistance. At the same time The Terminator (Schwarzenegger) has been sent back to kill her. James Cameron takes the "Man vs Machine" cleche to a whole new level. On the machie side The Terminator plays an infiltaration machine, so it look's like has has the features of a human (skin, hair, voice, ect), but underneth it's a very tough cybourg. On the human side is Resse, he plays a fighter, a tough as nails one. But he also loves and cares for his people, even though he hides it some time. In the middle is Sarah Conner, who is a simple woman brough into the middle chaos. Linda Hamilton players her perfectly giveing a sympathetic. She and Beihn also give us one of the greatest love sceens ever in film hystory. This non-stop action thrill rides goes through night clubs, police stations, the streets of Los Angles and climaxing as a tragity in a factory. There could not have been a better director then James Cameron, awsome scenes, slow motion, great angles and great Terminator POVs. Kick ass! This is one of the biggest and best action/sci fi's you will ever find. And with it's horror angle I can recommened it to everybody on this board. The Terminator is a near-flawless classic, a great way to start the series. What will I do to see this movie again? Terminate. 10/10 |
