Well, I certainly do, and if I hadn't already pinched myself several times I'd swear I just had one and didn't really see the movie Femme Fatale. Unfortunately, it wasn't just a dream. One thing I'm really confused about is the runtime. I've checked a few different resources and they have all said the same thing (114 minutes). But this just doesn't add up. I started the movie at 10:30 PM and it ended at 1:20 AM. How the hell could this happen? Plus, to top it all off, it seemed like it was AT LEAST 3 hours long. Even The Lord Of The Rings seemed shorter than this. Personally, I think there's some kind of conspiracy going on here. I think I must have gotten some cursed DVD that's longer than all of the other prints of it out there. So since I was actually lucky enough to make it through the movie alive, I'll probably die in 7 days. I think this movie should have borrowed the tagline from The Ring and made a few changes to it. I think the perfect tagline would have been "When you die, you'll be watching Femme Fatale." I really hate to have hated this movie so much, but after watching it I honestly can't see how anyone could not hate it. I'll admit, the cinematography was very slick, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos was "hot as hell," and the ending was kind of neat, but unfortunately, the LOOOONG journey we have to take to get to the end of the movie isn't very interesting and is basically just pointless. I hated having to watch the movie with the scenes scrambled up, and then having to watch the same scenes over again in the right order. These scenes weren't that great when they were mixed around, and they are surprisingly even worse when we see them in the right order. I was completely shocked when basically every single scene I had just seen was played over again. That is what really did it for me, and I was bored out of my mind seeing them again. Do you want an example of what you'll get with Femme Fatale? Ok, here it goes. If you took a movie, mixed all of the scenes up, took out a few of the scenes, then played it, you would have the first half of Femme Fatale. Now if you took those same scenes, put them back in order, and put the scenes that you took out back in, you'd have the second half of Femme Fatale. Femme Fatale could have been very good, but it goes so wrong in so many ways. I'm really disappointed. I never thought the movie would have been like it was, and I hate to have to say that this is one of the very worst movies I've seen of 2002. VIEWERS BEWARE: Proceed with caution! If you choose to watch it, then it's your funeral. |
