| Frailty was good, not great by any means. The acting is fine, especially from the two boys. They were both believable and actually better than the adult actors. Matthew McConaughey overacts to his finest in here, and Bill Paxton felt to "I wanna be crazy but serious..." (if there is such a thing) to me, but he was OK. Bill Paxton did okay as a director as well. My main beef with Frailty was the screenplay. Were we supposed to believe he was seeing angels, or was he crazy? I don't really know that answer... The "twist" near the end was a bit too obvious for me, I wasn't suprised at all. But I did like the "feel" of Frailty, it actually felt as if it were in 1979. I was never bored during it, it was actually pretty interesting but I was never completely over-taken by it either. Overall, Frailty is a good rental, but not much more... |
