My sister blindly bought it (because Duff was in it) so I happened to check it out. I was really surprised because I was expecting a shitfest. Look at the cover...it looks like a cheap film with horrible special effects. I was wrong. I had fun. If this film was one thing, it was that. As for Muniz looking 12, I do not agree. Dude...he has so many wrinkles all over his face, I thought he looked old for the part. Sort of like the way Gary Coleman looked too old for Different Strokes.. (Muniz is 17 or 18 btw). Anyway...I do not think that this could compare with Spy Kids. I did not enjoy Spy Kids as much because I thought that they were too reliant on the wirefu and special effects. Although this film also was dependent on effects, the camera work was more cleverly done. Furthermore, did anyone catch the sexual innuendo? It was almost like a self-parody. I love it.. Funny stuff. If you have nothing to rent, you should definitely watch this with the kiddies.
