| Broad, low comedy co-written by and starring Mike Myers as a British super-spy whose mojo is extracted by a time-travelling super-villain, Dr. Evil (also Myers). Heather Graham is Myers' cohort/love interest, Robert Wagner is Dr. Evil's first in command, Rob Lowe is the young version of Wagner, and Verne Troyer (almost) steals the movie as a 32-inch tall clone of Dr. Evil. The first sequel to Austin Powers: Man of Mystery, Myers learned from the first movie and decided to play down the Bond-spoof angle, and play up the super-villains, particularly Dr. Evil, who is much funnier than Austin Powers. If you like low humor, you will never do better than this movie. |
