This is yet another movie that looked pretty cool, but I chose to wait. And it delivers nicely! The trailer and advertising didn't do it justice, since It seemed like a pretty typical and predictable "thriller". But I actually stayed in tune with what was going on, and wondered what things would be like if I were in this situation ... probably on either side of the fence. In short, kidnapping children and such just isn't my idea of a great plot, but at the very least the characters were convincing, the pace isn't too bad, and I didn't have to see Kevin Bacon's penis again. That being said, it was exactly as good as it should have been. |
