GINGER SNAPS Starring: Emily Perkins as Brigitte Katharine Isabelle as Ginger Mimi Rogers as Pamela When I got done watching this movie Thursday night I wasn't sure what to think of it. I knew I liked it but I also knew I was disappointed. Of course it didn't help that the person I watched it with didn't like it and kept falling asleep during it. For the most part though GINGER SNAPS was a good, original, and kind of depressing horror flick. It wasn't really scary but I did jump once. The atmosphere was good. But I must say the ending was a big disappointment, I really didn't like the ending. The last 15 minutes of the movie went kind of down hill. The two sisters were good in the movie and I also think Mimi Rogers was really good as their mom. Overall GINGER SNAPS is definately worth checking out and it's one of the better werewolf flicks I've seen, but I was still a little disappointed. I'd like to check it out again sometime though because I think I might like it a little better if I watch it by myself. But I still recommend it. It's a shame it didn't get a US theatrical release, but most mainstream moviegoers probably couldn't handle it. One thing's for sure though, GINGER SNAPS will be a cult classic. THUMBS UP! Grade: 7/10
