I am going to land my review right down the middle: It's a definate popcorn movie that does nothing to further develop the original, has plot holes the size of California, and seems "played by ear". Actually, this sounds very much like it's father. I really don't even remember much about the plot of the original other than "Wesley Snipes: Vampire Hunter".. I guess the studios thought it would be wise to make Blade the vampire HELPER in the second serving, so as to cover both sides of his genetics. But personally, this concept didn't do a damn thing for me. First of all, the old man (who was he again?) was just a major reality check for me, since his old frail body (which btw was shut down for 2 years in some kind of scientific machismo) was supposed to be a fierce warrior against nasty creatures that are a tough match for Blade himself... yea... uh-huh... and the kid that was supposed to help them out is a foe? *yawn*... and apparantly there are other humans sponsering the invulnerable vampire campaign... and just all of this mess put together does not make a vampire movie kick ass. And there is also some kind of weird romantic twist thrown in her between blade and the hot vampire chick -- not a very healthy relationship considering that she is full-blood vampire, and so their kids would be a 50/50 on good or evil baby vampires .... ?? hehe... sorry, that was a little twisted. Possible sequal syndrone - I expect the same from Resident Evil 2. But nonetheless, I won't say it was worthless crap.. just not anything special, ya know? Something good to watch with a house full of drunk friends. |
