It had a completely different feel than the first one, but that's fine. Not being quite 18 yet, I slapped my older friends ID on the counter and bought my ticket. Boy, was I glad I did. The action was incredible, but the camera angles were what impressed me the most. Incredibly intense. Some big-ass plot holes are noticable (how does Whistler beat up and escape from a huge vampire? He's old and has a leg injury. And, given that he could actually perform such a task, why didn't he kill the guy? And how did he escape?? The scene cuts too early) but thay didn't really bother me much. Overall, I liked the original more (9/10) with the best opening sequence of any movie ever, but this flick did not disappoint in any way. And it didn't make the mistake of putting the best scene at the beginning, as with the original. The end fight was incredible, and I nearly ejaculated with excitement. Hope I don't have to wait another 4 years for Blade 3, this movie definately left me wanting more. One word: intense. 9/10. See it 10 times. |
