| First off, I'm NOT a J. Lopez fan, but I didn't really hate this movie. Yes, the plot used a cookie cutter formula, but overall...it was a good time at the cinema. What was up with the titles inserted between scenes? That added an extra level of cheese to the movie. Also, unlike JoBlo, I hated the fact that Ms. Lopez's character was constantly referred to as "Slim" by EVERYONE! It would have been nice to hear someone call her by her actual name at least once throughout the movie. The runaway and training sequences seemed far-fetched, but I dismissed the plot holes associated with these scenes. This movie did drag on in parts, so I would have enjoyed it more if it were 30 minutes shorter. So, I have to say 7.5/10 for this movie. |
